Makes me think that the V family may need to be proactive and remind people that the DNA testing ,although controversial - could be invaluable in pinpointing the ruthless killer who slaughtered their beloved daughter...

"The tragic case of nurse Sonia Varaschin's death and suspicions that someone she had met online was involved has made daters especially wary of the potential dangers from these sites."

"He was virtually untraceable," she says. "His phone had been somehow redirected or connected through someone else's. The woman who lived at his address never heard of him. God knows who is really in all the photos of he and his family I have. God knows who I was speaking to all that time. The cops were convinced that he lived in my city, and could potentially be a danger to me. They kept a close eye on me for a few weeks."

Although Meaghan reported Peter to the online dating website administration, they did nothing about it. His profile is still up.

Composite sketch released today (scroll down) looks similiar to c.s.of man seen near Mono.in Shelley Loder case.I know, different location and quite a stretch-just throwing it out there...
− on Saturday, June 4, 2011, at 9:30 p.m., a man in the Bloor Street West/Renforth Drive area
exposed himself and performed an indecent act in front of three teenage girls
The suspect is described as white, 25, 5’10"–6’ with a thin build and short, light−coloured hair.
He was clean−shaven and was only wearing black soccer−style shorts or boxer−style
underwear and a black baseball cap. He was not wearing any shoes or top.

Thanks for copying what was written in the police link (for some reason, I can't get the TPS' links to work for me anywhere and I follow them on Twitter). Indeed, it does sound similar to the person of interest who was seen in Mono.

And I don't think it's a stretch at all - let's face it, the SL and SV attack/ murder are far too close (geographically) to be separate men. And, the indecent exposure guy could very easily be the same person.

This is a province with easily accessible highways to everywhere.

Now, I wonder if LE is trying to 'connect the dots'.....:twocents:

Wow....

Can somebody do a side-by-side?

This is another composite sketch ( and security video) of a sex assault perp that I posted in Kera's thread, whom I thought was very familiar..still do. Also with similar look.. http://www.torontopolice.on.ca/newsreleases/pdfs/20788.pdf
"on Sunday, October 24, 2010, at approximately 3 a.m., a man dragged a 20−year−old
woman into a laneway, in the Adelaide Street/Spadina Avenue area, where he sexually
assaulted and robbed her."

I found this today, what got me about it was the "workboots"

The suspect, who escaped, is white, about 45 years old, five and a half to six feet tall, with brown hair shaved on the sides and a little longer on the top. He was wearing a light coloured jean jacket, a white muscle-shirt, dark coloured jeans, hiking-style workboots, white socks and sunglasses.

Thanks - but is someone able to provide a link which is not a PDF file? My computer goes nuts with PDF files and I can't see anything.

With thanks if anyone is able to do this.:tyou:

I would doubt it very much if the perp in Sonia's case was foolish enough to still be wearing the same boots after all the publicity they have generated.

But stranger things have happened.

He is quite good looking, if you ask me, JMO.

Yes they have, thinking about RW with his distinctive boots sitting in the interrogation room !

Hazel thankyou for "fixing" the composite thing, could I push luck and ask for a little more? Please and thankyou and sorry!

Thanks so much to the computer whiz who provided the images! :woohoo:

In the post just above - (left to right) these two are very similar. But the third guy seems out of place. (Who is the third guy supposed to be? Where/why did his image come about from police?)

Oh and about the workboots still being worn - I feel that if a person is capable of commiting murder then he's capable and cocky enough to flaunt the workboots all over Ontario.

Just sayin'.......

Thankyou Hazel! great job- now it will be an easy reference (if required!)

No problem at all, dotr and N_S_U.

No_Stone_Unturned, the third guy's image is from dotr's post # 350 link here

Also, since you cannot open .pdf files, you might want to try these links for the Toronto Police News Releases:

--> News Release: 21233

--> Previous News Release: 21229

HTH :)

Thanks very much for all of your help, Hazel.:woot:

Oh yes - the third person is suspicious for an indecent act. Come to think of it - the third man could fit the description of the persons of interest in the SL and SV cases. Perhaps he's lost some weight and just 'looks tidier'.

And it wouldn't surprise me in the least that the man involved in the SL and/or SV cases would resort to indecent exposure.

Not much surprises me, actually.
