Chestermere is literally a hop, skip and jump from Calgary, just to the east. Vida’s family must be worried sick as it’s now been a week since she was last seen.

Calgary police seeking public's help in search for missing woman | Calgary Herald
“Investigators analyzed her day timer and believe Smith was scheduled to meet with a friend, Kevin Barton, on July 21 at 12:30 p.m. at a coffee shop in northeast Calgary — the same day she was last seen by her family.

Police haven’t been able to locate Barton to speak with him about his meeting with Smith.

Smith failed to attend a medical appointment on July 23, according to her family.

Police and her family are very concerned for her welfare and are looking to speak with anyone who may have information,” said Calgary police.....

......Police are also seeking any information about the location of Barton, who is described as 60 years old, Caucasian, approximately six feet tall and 210 pounds.

Calgary police are asking anyone with information about Smith’s whereabouts to contact the police non-emergency number 403-266-1234 or anonymously by contacting Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.calgarycrimestoppers.org.

If that is a recent photo. Yes she is a very attractive lady.
I wonder how long she knew this man.
The seeming fact that they haven't found him yet is very frightening.

My mind automatically went to that the next thing will be that they find him dead :(

Do they know when the damage occured.

''The vehicle will have damage to the left, rear quarter panel, police said.

Concerning that the friend can't be located and hasn't contacted LE. I wonder if the coffee shop where they planned to meet has cameras? It would show if they actually met up and if they left together.

if that's her FB account and you do a reverse image it's on a ton of dating sites but none in Canada that I can see there's also a twitter account that FB photo is being used on

Following.

What an elegant and attractive lady!
Though photos can be misleading (maybe a DV license photo), I don't really see her being in the company of that man in the picture.
And he has vanished too. Ugh.

No telling if she would be the type to take off for a trip with someone and not tell anyone.
Hopefully that's what it is, and that they are not aware they have been reported missing.

Don't the drivers licenses there need to be a close up of your face only, and no smiling.
At least that's what they're like here in Australia.

The man's photo is a closeup, without a smile. I didn't mean Vida's picture, sorry if I wasn't clear.

Oh I see, sorry.
If I was more awake and had more of my morning coffee I would have realised that ,because you did make it clear in you post upon my reading it again properly.

Vida is very beautiful in that photo but as it’s stated she’s 69 years old, I would wonder how recent it is and if somebody indeed saw her that day, would they recognize her from the photo?

On the topic of CCTV, I notice CPS hasn’t requested any so I’m certain they’ve canvassing all businesses in the area. There’s CCTV everywhere in the city including some of the overhead traffic lights. I think CPS must know more than they’re saying because they didn’t name the coffee shop, odd if they are looking for witnesses who might’ve observed the two driving off together. Nor did they mention where KB resides, just that he appears to be missing as well.

With each passing day, not finding her is increasingly worrisome.

In Ontario it's no smiling and they take the pic.

Yes I think it’s the same everywhere, here in alberta too. It looks like a photo taken for a driver’s licence. It might just be a poor photo but my first thought was the man does not look well.
