    " The intruder has been described as a white male, approximately 18 years old, five-foot-five with a thin build and short, dark hair.

    Police are reminding the public to make sure all windows and doors are properly secured at night.

    Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Det. Const. Twiddy of Central West Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1829."

    " WHITBY -- A terrified senior fled her home after waking to find an unknown intruder early Wednesday.

    The 74-year-old woman was not hurt, but was frightened by the incident, Durham police said. The woman woke at about 2:20 a.m. to find a man in the hallway of her Elizabeth Crescent home, then ran to a neighbour's house to call police."
