Chad McGill was last seen in his vehicle in the Whitehorse area between August 24 and 26, 2022. His vehicle is described as a 2019 red Kia Stinger, British Columbia licence plate PB551E.

On August 26 at approximately 5:45 p.m. Chad McGill's vehicle was found abandoned parked facing east bound on the Alaska Highway, between kilometers 1474 and 1476, just east of the Kluane Wagon Road. It is believed the car stayed at that location until it was towed on August 27. Chad McGill was not with the vehicle and his whereabouts are unknown.

The police have recovered Chad McGill's vehicle. Chad McGill has not been found and there is concern for his wellbeing.

He was from BC ... where in BC? Where was he heading? What was the purpose of his trip?

"Some years ago, Gord Allison’s wife Roberta was taking a course at Yukon College and needed a topic for one of her papers, so he suggested the old Kluane wagon road. In the early days, it connected the town of Whitehorse with Kluane (better known as Silver City today) on the shores of Kluane Lake." (link)

The Alaska Hwy seems to be the same road as the Kluane Wagon road, or it is Haines Hwy. It almost looks like the vehicle was in a populated area.

I'm curious. Was this man's car towed from a populated area 24 hours after his vehicle was parked facing East near the Alaska Hwy at Kluane Wagon Road? Regardless of his half-leg in the Yukon, was his car in a town, or the middle of no where? Seems like a town ... so how did he disappear in a town?

''Aikens, who was known as Rick, was found dead on a rural property north of Whitehorse on Aug. 27, but police say further details, including the cause of death, will not be released.

They say the death is believed to be linked to a separate missing persons case involving the search for 51-year-old Chad McGill, who has not been seen since late August.''

What is the link between the dead man and the missing man? Proximity of last sightings or what?

More info would be helpful! Do they have any video proof of life? Were these men friends or acquaintances (or did they have some in common)?

Do they think CM is still alive or also a potential homicide victim?

''Yukon RCMP say 41-year-old James Richard (Rick)” Aikens died suddenly on a rural property north of Whitehorse on the evening of Aug. 27. An autopsy confirmed it was a homicide but police aren’t releasing Aikens’s cause of death.''

''Meanwhile, police say the investigation is linked to a missing person case first reported to the public three days after the murder. Investigators say Chad Oliver McGill, 51, remains missing but didn’t confirm him as a suspect.

McGill’s red 2019 Kia Stinger was found abandoned on the Alaska Highway on Aug. 26 and was towed a day later, the same day Aikens was killed.''
