Cases possibly of interest for the LISK case

EMRE, my vague recollection of the Hackett situation is 'someone' claimed that Hackett claimed he did that - he said, she said sort of thing.

The unidentified State Police officer is certainly interesting. I say that because said officer is probably assigned to the area patrolling the park areas. He/she might know what is going on regarding a sex ring.

I KNOW OF ONE VERY HIGH PLACED police official that has been certified as one that took advantage of prostitutes. And the report I know of is only ONE of many rumors that swirl around this miscreant.

You then have two very, very, high placed public officials that seemed to have benefitted from an association with a convicted drug dealer turned pornographer.

Then you have that clown DA Spota jumping right into the investigation when he should have been only seen and not heard. And who is the best pal of Spota? The high ranking police official.

LE would feed wrong information to a NY state cop because he would run to the NY post.

I think I have a pretty good idea who this State cop is and why he appears to be a source for the NY Post. I think he knows what has been going on in that area and wants to get it out to the public in a way least connected to him/her. I also believe SCPD/Spota believe they know who this so called state cop is and he/she will be left alone to minimize the damage done if ALL the truth came out.

You know, on average The Post is a terrible tabloid paper filled with yellow journalism and the occasional flat-out fabrication, but I checked out the journalist who wrote this and he seems pretty legit to me. So if what he's been told is true, this clears up a whole bunch of questions and speculations we've had from a multitude of threads including:

Q.Does it appear that the bodies could have been stored elsewhere for a period of time and then dumped where they were found some time later on?
A. Yes! It appears this actually may have been possible

Q.What kind of burlap were the victims wrapped in? Was it from a roll/sheet or were they in burlap bags?
A. At least on victim was in a bag! (!!) The bags were similar to those used for landscaping.

Q.Have the police ruled any of the players mentioned here out, including Bittrolff?
A. Yes. Including JB who *owned a nursery*, Brewer, and the Doc

Q.Did the police hear the voice of the killer?
A. Yes! They even tried to find him during one of the phone calls from Midtown. (Please tell me they recorded these calls. Please.)

Q.Do the police now believe these victims are all from the same killer?
A. Yes.

Q. What was the cause of death?
A. Strangulation.

Anything else I missed? I'm wondering how privy the source was to case information, and if anything that the source leaked is incorrect.

Marble, I dont believe much of what I read. Stored??? What constitutes stored? The girls were killed in one location and dumped in another. LE said Bittrollf is not a suspect. We dont know if he is or not. If MindWhisper is correct about MB then Bittrolff might be the LISK. Otherwise its a coincidence.

I know you didn't hawk. Obviously I'm not saying 100% of them walk on water but I would think things are cleaner at NYS than scpd

I wonder if we could assume the entire article is fact. That's a major problem I have the news people...it's ok to express am opinion or embellish a story..just say that you are and keep the facts in a different section.

If so, it's awfully strange that they wouldn't release a sound byte to the public. There could be a perfectly good reason why they wouldn't, but I have no idea what it would be. If they did it now, it would bring more attention to this case, which can't hurt.

I just can't have any faith in what that NYPost article says based solely on all the errors on the map shown. If they couldn't bother to pay attention to simple things like east and west, area names and locations which are all easily checked, why would they be accurate in the content.

Yeah mcme, I hear you. In general the NYPost tends to be full of %$$, but this particular reporter doesn't have a terrible track record himself, so I was being generous (agree- the map was a mess, but that's the work of the graphics editor and main editor to check and it's possible the reporter never saw the map before the paper went to print. I base this on having worked as a graphics person at a national daily which had a slightly better reputation for fact-checking). But, even if the reporter didn't embellish or change what he was told, it's from a single anonymous source so it's suspect from the get-go.

Decomposed body found in Brooklyn suitcase identified as Kansas woman: cops
The body of Erica McDaniel, 30, was discovered inside a suitcase at an abandoned Bedford-Stuyvesant building in 2013. Her decomposed remains were identified through DNA testing, NYPD said Tuesday.

Her Facebook:

https://www.facebook.com/erica.mcdaniel.583

And her obituary (with wrong year (2014) for her memorial, just an error I presume, should be 2015)

http://www.penwellgabeljunctioncity...Erica&lname=McDaniel&city=Junction+City&st=KS

Her full name: Erica Lasha McDaniel

A high-ranking police official who didn't want to be identified said another intriguing element in the case is the fact that McDaniel's body was concealed in a suitcase, the same way the dismembered remains of Brooklyn prostitute Tanya Rush, 39, were found in June 2008 along the Southern State Parkway in North Bellmore. Rush lived in the Van Dyke Houses in Brownsville, less than a mile from where McDaniel's body was found. However, it is not known if the women knew each other: Rush was dead in June 2008 and McDaniel was in and out of the Kansas prison system around that time, correction records show.

In this arrest record it is stated that Erica McDaniel used the nickname "Shorty"

Years ago Jessica Taylors x-boyfriend KW 's had a girlfriend nicknamed "Shorty"!

Could it be the same girl?

See, In Jessica Taylors x-boyfriend KW 's Myspace picture (his Myspacename: remired69), the one with:

One white guy (whom I believe is my POI)
Three black guys
and.. two black girls, one of them with nickname "Shorty" , take a look:

This is the text that goes with the picture:

"the hommie twist ,my girl shorty 240 angie and the rest of the union square crew.shorty you know I had to post this on my page.lol"

Both Erica McDaniel and KW lived in the same area in Brooklyn (a 6-7 mile span), so there is a possibility that they knew each other.
And the address where Erica was found murdered is located right in between of Erica's and KWs addresses in Brooklyn.

Erica was found: 174 Hull St

Erica lived: on Bedford Ave. near Greene Ave

KW had three addresses in Brooklyn (could have more, but haven't been able to find anymore, but I found several on Manhattan):

9x DE SALES PL #1R BROOKLYN, NY11207
(4.3 miles from my POI´s former Brooklyn address)

3xx FOUNTAIN AVE #4 A BROOKLYN, NY 11208
(4.2 miles from my POI´s former Brooklyn address)

4xx Linwood St, Brooklyn, NY 11208
(4.3 miles from my POI´s former Brooklyn address)

There is another very petite Brooklyn woman missing that might fit the LISK victim profile:

Name: Roxanne L Benanti (I know the middle "L" from Ancestry.com)

Age: 25 years old (in 2012)

Hight: 4-feet-11-inches

Weighing: about 100 pounds

Last seen: Sept. 26, 2012 in Brooklyn, leaving her home

Home address: 857 40th St Apt 3r, Brooklyn, NY

Occupation: no info on that, but REALLY wish we knew if that in any way fit the LISK victim profile?

http://www.dnainfo.com/new-york/20120928/sunset-park/nypd-searches-for-missing-brooklyn-woman

Roxanne Benanti, who lives in Brooklyn, was last seen leaving on 40th St., near 8th Avenue in Sunset Park, about 8:15 that night, police said.

Cops described Benanti as standing about 4-feet-11-inches tall and weighing about 100 pounds. She was last seen wearing an orange shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.

Her facebook: https://www.facebook.com/roxy.benanti

And as several other LISK and AC4 victims she has second, empty, facebook profile established Aug 6, 2014,

There's that name, "McDaniel" again! That name has come up somewhere a few times and I can't figure out where but it has some significance to me...anyone have any ideas?
