GUILTY CO - Brian Swartz, 30, found in shallow grave, Pueblo, 1 Aug 2009

Sincere condolances to the young man's family - at least they have him back. Kudos to the Sheriff's office and Diane France of NecroSearch for all their hard - and difficult - work in his recovery.
 
PUEBLO - Police made three arrests this afternoon in the murder of 30-year-old Brian J. Swartz.

Swartz had been reported missing since early August. His body was discovered in a shallow grave just off of Highway 96, West of Pueblo after a hunter noticed coyotes diggin at the area.

Eloy Thomas Varos pleaded guilty to accessory to murder... According to his agreement, all sentencing options will be available to District Judge David Crockenberg except that a prison term wil0l last no more than two years...

Lohnes and Mitchell's sister, Priscilla Mitchell, 23, also pleaded guilty to accessory to murder. Mitchell was sentenced to three years of probation. Lohnes was sentenced to three years in prison.

A Pueblo woman who admitted killing her husband in 2009 and burying his body in a shallow grave has been sentenced to 20 years in prison...

In June, Mitchell pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the heat of passion. She faced up to 32 years.
