After the defense rests, remember about a days worth of rebuttal

While they are setting up for this next witness for Zoom, I overheard the attorneys and judge in court earlier this am. This witness was located in CO, but suddenly had to go to Montana to fight fires. So, I am assuming this will be some kind of outdoor, fire-fighting , mountain man testimony. Lions, and tigers, and Bears!! Oh My!

At this point, defense could use a good scapegoat.

Jury dismissed until tomorrow.
What did I miss?!

oops, no ZOOM witness?

The defense case is staggering along like the poorly oiled machine that it is. Days delayed, days ending early, zoom witnesses (scheduled or not), witnesses not qualified to testify, constant lectures from the Judge.. An overall sh*t show, appropriate given the defendant.

Did anyone catch that exchange? Judge said, so Mr Bogan, what about noon then…couldn’t hear the rest.

I think they might be down to one, or two at most, witnesses left. I think tomorrow at noon might be referring to when they rest their case?

This witness just told the jury that MR changed his story from bloody cold sore to football smack in the face.
(This is the only time I could see that MR actually covered his face with his hand. Look close.)

This was my favourite witness---he is gold level ---so direct, calm and believable.

This was just filed on July 6, 2021 last week by Prosecution endorsing 3 witnesses with Bayfield addresses. I’m wondering if they are going to be called for rebuttal of the Postal worker? Maybe? Just a thought. JMO

They probably planned to. But might not need to because of the strong cross examination. In his first 2 questions he got her to adamantly agree with him, that she mixed up Dylan with another blonde kid, and so she was mistaken.

[That same kid came forward with his parents and explained he had walked right past the mail lady that afternoon with his friend. So LE figured out quickly that it was mistaken identity.

That is probably why they kept going to speak to her about it, because she wasn't letting it go. She went on Dr Phil show, etc, continuing with her story of seeing Dylan that day. Making people think Mark was innocent.

And I do think Mark was trying to charm her, sweet talk her, into helping him.]
