Sorry I haven’t fully caught up on this thread since last night. Are we allowed to discuss video?
... I think I would opt to tossing something over the side of what I assume would be a cliff that leads to nowhere.
There were apparently 2 calls, the first from SM 7.55pm approximately, the neighbor apparently made a call at 8.30pm or thereabouts , after BF contacted him checking on gannon..Was it confirmed that TS called LE? I thought I read earlier that it was never established and that during a press conference, LE referred to "he" called police?
That blue bag on the wall looks exactly like the shape and size she was carrying out to the truck. It also looks like there is a second empty hook next to it.![]()
She could have used the bag for something else and left the bow on the ground.
One thing I noticed about the video is it seems to be all about other people's property than the owners property. The way the camera is angled it would not seem to offer much help in security aspects of the owners property. Perhaps it is by design of the total security cameras system this one camera offers a long range shot of street and adjoining property. Question I have though is how do we know this is the stepmom and boy? All I can get from the video is there are 2 people who entered the truck. This doesn't provide positive ID in my opinion. MOO.
I think the video(s) floating around aren't the original, it appears they are likely cellphone videos of the original playing on a tv and/or computer screen, so vid quality is diminished.

Another question is if the boy exited the truck on the passenger side then the video would not have picked that up, correct?

Good question. I think that we might be able to see it because the truck has a pretty good clearance off the ground and we'd see his feet. Maybe when the video itself is released we'll be able to see more clearly since what we're looking at is a recording. And hear. I think audio could be a big part of this. We would be able to hear two doors shut instead of one. We might be able to hear them talking to each other before the truck pulls out
Oh man, that is certainly a thought. I believe her family is members of the Lumbee tribe. From what I understand, they’re located in NC. I don’t know if she has relatives or friends in tribes in the Colorado areaGood morning all...
Woke up this morning with this idea in my head and it just wont quit.
-SM claims she is Native American... If Gannon was alive while in Colorado Springs theb was taken out on the Reservation and a crime was committed there then it would change everything on the way this whole thing is handled. Even trying to recover a body would be difficult.
Just an idea

It's unlikely because the whole search up until Sunday was focused on a walking child missing and endangered.Kudos to all who have been watching and re-watching the videos and great job on all the various observations, many of which I missed seeing. I gave up after the 4th time last night and will re-watch again today with fresh eyes.
A thought struck me today....could investigators have seen that footage early on and deliberately made mention of NOT seeing Gannon on camera in order to catch stepmonster off guard when they interviewed her?
It would be to their benefit to get her story first before telling her they know she was lying.
Perhaps that is why they said she was uncooperative? Maybe they told her that they knew her story wasn't lining up, but didn't tell her how they knew (based on the video footage they had seen.)
LE could have told AS from the get-go that her story was off (not disclosing the reason why) and maybe that is why she was asked to leave the home?
I hope she cracks under the pressure today and tells them where he is. Self preservation may kick in. It's likely she is now safer in jail than out, since the world knows for sure what a liar she is.

I think people forget about a couple of things when it comes to home security footage. First off, LE cannot make you give them your footage. Second is the time that it takes to review the footage. My guess from watching the video is that SM likely confiscated his phone in the car and took it back inside with her own. She worked in education - she must have at least a vague idea about phone tracking and its uses by LE. Speaking of which, what time was the search made on Gannon's phone or computer about parents being able to track phones?
I am dumbfounded that LE and especially the FBI did not ask everyone on the block to allow them to personally review their security footage. Why leave it up to neighbors to do on their own? Why was this not the first thing done when SM had her "I demand an attorney" interview with LE? I am less concerned about media leaking the footage than LE not having eyes on this video to begin with from Day 2. I am disappointed. People have been thinking and searching like he ran away in the critical first week. How did this ball get dropped? I am usually a huge fan of the FBI, CBI in these cases - but I can't help but think this is a basic thing to have been done very early on.
Oddly, this comes up often in cases where surveillance video is examined. Many people who are right handed, use their left to open the driver's door on their vehicle. I had never even thought about it until it came up here years ago, and sure enough, I do too.I thought about this today. I am right-handed but I always use my left hand to open the car doors on the driver side of my vehicle.
Wow!Yes, but no discussions about pet stores or carpet.
This is what I just thought about too. I watched the video many times, and I just don’t think I could be able to tell if little feet got out. But, the neighbor stressed how amazing the sound was, garage doors, car alarms, etc. That leads me to believe it would also pick up a car door being closed. IMO, I think that is a big piece to this footage. Only one car door is heard being shut.
It makes sense, because you’d have to have your arm go across your chest, preventing entry, if you opened it right handed, due to the way the door opens. I bet most people use their right hand to open the passenger side doors opposite.Oddly, this comes up often in cases where surveillance video is examined.
