I cannot even follow this trial. My blood pressure goes thru the roof at the mention of this woman’s name. I could not possibly sit on a jury where the defendant is pleading not guilty by reason of insanity for killing a child entrusted to their care. Of course she’s crazy - anyone who would intentionally kill a child is crazy on some level but still criminally responsible and it is the fact that an insanity defense is even an option in such cases that is insane.

Well, as you may remember, LU was Jesse Matthew's alma mater (though he "attended"/played football, but did not graduate; only SA'd a coed or two on the campus, as I recall).
I have no idea who Jesse Matthew is.

Oh what a chatty-cathy she is talking to the officer interviewing her.

They're back from lunch break and are playing police body cam audio from Jan 27. I had to pause it. I just can't listen to her voice and lying words. Poor Gannon. I don't know how LH, AS, and the family are making it through this. I cannot imagine the heartbreak and stress they are dealing with.

And I sure as heck hope we will see a witness whose job it WAS to verify LS's "qualifications". Because if she has a PhD from Liberty University I'll eat some savory humble pie (or, maybe some roasted crow?)!

IMO, all one has to do to get a Ph.D. from Liberty University is pay tuition and sign up for the classes. Reports on how competitive it is to get into the grad school (Education track) vary, but I would not say it's a top-ranked school. It's hard to make sense of its admission rate data so I've given up on that metric. I do know that the applicants' essays are mentioned as a crucial part of getting into to LU. There's also a pathway for military and their dependents to go into the EdD program after completing a certificate (regardless of whether they have an undergrad degree in a relevant subject).

Then, that certificate is stackable and gains admission into the Ed.D. program (at least so far as I can understand their explanation):

Tuition is very reasonable for military dependents, and, of course there's also federal financial aid (for the time being - LU is having problems with Title IX, last time I checked).

IMO.

Stop and think about how rational she sounds, mere hours after she inflicted all that vile trauma to that poor child.

So now Gannon searched “bath salts and
can my parents find me if my phone is off"? She’s the Devil

No concern for Gannon. Happy, happy person. moo

So, she doesn't always squawk like she did on those calls with Al. She's reporting Gannon missing with an attempt to sound charming and give so much mom type info about her stepson she just adores. Uses her Southern accent when really wants to lay on the charm. (not even one yada, yada, yada)

She's enjoying it. She's the center of attention while Gannon is "missing."

Where did she learn how to speak? imo
