Any news on "how" the jury selection is going?
I'm just getting old articles over here - and thought maybe someone in the U.S. will find something recent.

I've read articles from three days ago discussing this case. From what I can tell, none of them discuss how the jury selection is going.

I'll keep looking. If I find anything regarding jury selection, I'll post it.

Someone mentioned that Monday, 10/11 is a Holiday in the U.S. - so had to look & see when Pankey was back in court. And yep - he's back on Tuesday.

I just read an article that jury selection would all week (that would be last week) & trial should be starting today - but unfortunately, I'm not finding an updated articles on what happened in jury selection. So I'm going to that trial starts today - and if someone finds anything about jury selection, i.e. how alternates, men & women (?), etc. please post!

Tuesday, October 12th:
*Trial begins (Day 1) (@ 8:30am MT) – CO – Jonelle Renee Matthews (12) (went missing on Dec 20, 1984 after entering her home at 8pm, Greeley, found July 23, 2019 by construction workers at an oil & gas site in rural part of Weld County near County Road 49 & County Road 34½) – *Steven Dana Pankey (33 @ time of crime/69/now 70) indicted (10/9/20), arrested & charged (10/12/20 in Meridian, ID.) with 1st degree murder after deliberation, 1st degree felony murder, 2nd degree kidnapping, with sentence enhancers for using a weapon in a violent crime & 2 counts of crime of violence. Plead not guilty. $5M cash-only bond.
Trial began on 10/6/21 with jury selection & ended on 10/8/21. Trial begins on 10/12/21 (thru 11/5/21). Will have 12 jurors & 3 alternates.

10/7/21 Thursday, Trial Day 2 of Jury Selection: Jury selection continues. Jury selection continues on 10/8/21.
10/8/21 Friday, Trial Day 3 of Jury Selection: Jury selection should have ended on Friday (per news article). Trial begins on Tuesday, 10/12/21.
