I am prior Military. I was a Behavior Science Specialist, I worked in Psy Ops. I'm certainly not a leading expert on human behavior, but I am willing to bet that allowing PF to bring his daughter was a very calculated move. If I were interrogating PF I would definitely do these two things...
First and foremost I would ensure leverage. In this case I believe the child is LE's leverage. Mind you, (regarding your question) the child is currently in a very safe environment.
Questioning AFTER the search warrant was implemented may suggest to PF that LE has found something that may strengthen their case against him (should there be one). LE can also say (whether or not they do or they don't) that they now have a strong case against him. This may ultimately get him to talk...

Very good observation. One just has to watch CBI/FBI Agents Graham and Tammy interrogation of Chris Watts to see their human behavioral training at work. MOO

He’s not spoken of much but he’s listed as living with her mom and on the title. Unless he’s a step dad?

Her father didn't speak on camera, but I think he may have been quoted in a news interview. I don't recall which one, but can probably find it.

He has obviously spoken to the police before. Law enforcement has specifically said in the previous press conference that Patrick told them that he picked up K (their daughter) later in the afternoon of November 22nd.

That may have been relayed through PF's attorney.

This has probably been answered, but, could he have mailed the phone to Idaho, or tossed it in with a delivery truck, and then spoofed texts from her number to himself and to her work? Use a VPN even if necessary? Would the phone still ping as an Idaho location in a spoofed text? I guess the phone would have had to have been on that entire time for that to work though, unless there is a remote way to turn the phone on?

If it was mailed, it would have pinged along the way.

The part about going out to dinner is bugging me and I know it was discussed in earlier threads, but honestly, how many restaurants would be open on Thanksgiving night? Unless they were going to someone's house, and then was she there if that was the case? Just another loose thread in this mess of a case. I truly hope LE has way more evidence than they appear to.

The question is, how many restaurants in or near Woodland Park are open on Thankgiving?

The way it was phrased by the admin on the official Missing Mother facebook page, it said
"I spoke with her a couple of times that morning. Going out for dinner was in the plan. We know she had picked up a few things at Safeway.

and

"She was going out to dinner with her fiance and daughter. She didn't say where."

I guess "going out to dinner" could mean anything - a restaurant, his family's house, a friend's house. I have always lived in very touristy/vacation-y cities, so restaurants open on Thanksgiving is more of a norm to me, but I am guessing in a smaller town it may not be as common.

Thanks. I live in an area where restaurants aren't open on Thanksgiving. I wasn't sure if any restaurants would be open in PF/KB's area for Thanksgiving supper.

He’s not being questioned though according to what was said in the presser. They have yet to talk to him and are still reaching out to him inviting him to talk directly and not through his attorney. It was said elsewhere that it was a courtesy ride/escort for him

I got the impression that he initially spoke with investigators right after KB was reported missing, then lawyered up after that first press conference.

Hotels usually have one restuarant open on holidays...guests have to eat. I worked in hotels for years, always worked on holidays. There are places open.

Could she have had conflicts with his family where she refused to go to a dinner at his mother's house and so they agreed to "go out to dinner" instead? Total speculation.

It will be very interesting to know what his Thanksgiving day plans were and where he and the child actually ended up spending Thanksgiving. What's unfortunate is that because it was a holiday, he may have only been around supportive, protective family. And not interacting with other people who might be able to provide a more unbiased, objective view of what he was up to and how he was acting or if he was cheerful and joining fantasy football leagues.

It is possible but the first time we were aware of an attorney was the day after the press conference when the media was chasing him around.

I’m still confused as to why he won’t let her mom visit the baby. Because he is possessive and controlling? Or because he would likely be forced to talk to her? Did he have a hatred for her family and wants to punish them?

No. Because when Grandma comes to visit she will be asking questions. He doesnt want to answer anybody's questions for fear of new information coming out that could discredit him. For example, He tells Grandma he came straight home from Kelseys house on thanksgiving after picking up the baby. Next week they find a video of him from thanksgiving driving 30 miles away on a web/security cam.

I'm not saying he is guilty. I'm sure he is taking the advice of his attorney.

At any rate, the plan wasn't that PF was going to pick up the child and leave, the plan was that PF and KB were going out together for dinner that night.

He's not being questioned according to the news conference they had this afternoon. Things may have changed now that LE got some stones and put public pressure on him.

At last night’s vigil, De Young told me personally they made progress in their investigation. Clearly, that progress (whatever it is) is what got them their search warrant, but why they wouldn’t disclose that is a question. @KOAA #KelseyBerreth
