Maybe the emails or text notifications sent to the neighbor is what LE used to determine the time-stamp? I'm just assuming the trigger notifications are sent immediately.
That would make sense. Obviously the evidence would be useless without an accurate time/date.

It will be solid.

My impression/guess is that Grandpa Bereth may have stayed home with the baby. I haven't seen any mention of him at the trial. I'd want my husband to stay home and keep the baby away from this whole mess. He probably has some family there with him too. JMO IMO

I can imagine it is sheer torture for CB to be away from little K, even when she knows she's well taken care of.

What I remember vividly from last year is how they wouldn't let CB see little K when CB was in WP. Nasty, cruel people the F's are. Well, SF won't EVER see that little girl again unless when she's of age she chooses to do so. I doubt she will. JMO

I was trying to remember when PF supposedly arrived for Thanksgiving dinner but all I can remember is that SF2 arrived sometime about 2:30 p.m. and PF shortly thereafter. Wasn't that the story? MOO
That's what I thought, too. Didn't Patrick go back to her condo after dinner?

Here is a a screenshot from an Arlo sales website showing exactly what the "push notification" looks like on an I-phone. The time is shown in the text below and slightly to the right side of the picture itself, and directly below the green arrow. The time shown originates in the base unit, which sends the push notification. The Arlo camera and the Arlo base unit must be updated to like updates, or the time zone will be incorrect. JMO

Maybe that's why the judge don't want any media in the court room taking videos. I just betcha there's going to be a lot of security the day Krystal takes the stand.

Does anyone think he just may pop a cork when she starts to testify? Yay or Nay?
I hope he seethes so much inside that his blood pressure goes through the roof and he combusts. Or, maybe pops an aneurysm or something similarly lethal.

I have to go change my avatar now

He could have cut her body into pieces that he placed in garbage bags and just carried one by one to the truck. They could have been out of the camera's range.
God help me, but I was thinking the same thing. I hope not, but I wouldn't put it past him.

The things we are laughing at, are the very things that are going to convict him.

His stupidity helped make the case against him rock solid, and each day brings multiple revelations to that effect.

Today it was the Verizon store and the bank. Tomorrow it will be his cell phone data.

Nothing wrong with laughing now, because that means PF won’t be laughing in the end.
I love how you said that :)

It made me feel creepy to even think about it but Patrick doesn't seem to have any scruples, does he?

He should do it on the day Clean-Up Girl is in court.

We know he had a tote in his vehicle, as it was caught on camera.

There’s still no reason not to believe that he used it. He just got lucky with that particular camera system.

Dismemberment would take too long, and wouldn’t have been necessary.
I agree, but darn, how could he not have struggled a little bit, bringing her body out, especially in a tote? Even if he put her in a bag before putting her in a tote outside, he would still be struggling in one of those photos, right? I can't imagine him kicking the tote to avoid the camera, that would look a bit crazy. Then again, this is Patrick we're talking about, so scratch that.....

This is the same guy who left a bloody crime scene behind for a day and a half.

I think he made quick trips outside, perhaps to check and see if anyone was coming. I don’t think he would have been concerned that someone was just going to walk in the door.

He could have stopped them anyways.
Thank God none of Kelsey's family members or friends decided to visit her on those days. That would have been awful to find such a crime scene like that. Sometimes, family and friends make a surprise visit and have keys to get in. That would just be horrifying to open the door expecting to surprise someone, and seeing blood all over the place. That monster!

Other people have theorized the same, but I’m not a fan of that theory for a lot of reasons.

KB supposedly went off and killed herself, and PF was playing the “delay” game. A fire would have achieved the opposite.

Why clean a house just to burn it down?

In typical arson attempts, there is a reasonable effort made to actually start a fire. A gas line is unplugged, or an accelerant spread, or flammable objects are placed around the fire. That doesn’t appear to have been the case here, as law enforcement never commented to that effect.

I think the logical explanation is that it was lit to mask the smell of cleaning products.

Funny enough, it worked.
Patrick lied about KB in many things- when he texted Kelsey's boss, the text said that she was visiting her sick grandmother. He couldn't even keep his lies straight as to where she went or whether they broke up, etc.

I was confused, was it a hot plate? Was it one of those wax melt Scentsy things? It's not uncommon for me to leave my scentsy on if I leave the house (not for extended periods of time... but still..). Sam says it was explained that the house smelled really pleasant - thus, sure, masking the smell of cleaning supplies. My wax melts (if thats the type of thing it was) ONLY smell significantly strong if they are new (which would make sense for KK to have placed it on purpose). If they're older or have been heated multiple times, definitely not as strong. But the fact that candle warmer/wax melts whatever, were strong enough to notice how 'pleasant' the home smelled makes me think they were new...
I was going to mention this. This seems awfully hinky to me, that the house smelled that pleasant on that day LE came, as that candle smell would have faded. Just my opinion, but I think someone replaced a candle a wee bit later after the clean up- maybe that someone noticed after the clean up that the house still had an odd smell and needed a little help freshening it up.

I just couldn't ever stay at a home I thought my daughter was killed in...
Agree. When they first stayed at her condo last year, Cheryl and Cliff didn't know right away that it was a crime scene. LE made them leave, once it became a crime scene. For me, that would be so hard just to walk in there, knowing what happened to my daughter.

Hi everyone, am new to this case, hence the question:
Will the custody of the baby be resolved as part of this trial, or is that some new case down the road. Are PF and his Mom trying to get custody?

I think the baby custody question will settled after the trial for her murder. Maybe the testimony in this trial will be allowed in the custody trial as his mother has made attempts to get custody. I don't think that will happen once they see the testimony here. This trial is only about Cheryl's death not her baby girl.

I know, and believe me, I have laughed myself and even made a joke or two.

Yet, I put myself in the Berreth's place- Cheryl and Clint today, and think of their tears and pain on the stand, and then I feel guilty for laughing. Believe me, there's lots to laugh about with dumb and dumber- they brought it on themselves.

Three week trial?

No way their baby K is not with them in Colorado. Baby K's only 24 months and needs to wake up to her family every morning as much as the Berreth's need her. MOO

I don't know---only because I imagine myself, being in a messy custody battle with people in another state, trying to wrestle my grand baby away from me---I would not want to take that baby back to that state, if there was any other way to avoid doing so.

I think I would rather have a loving family member staying back with her in the safety of our own home--I think if the baby woke up every morning in her own bed, and was home with Cb2's husband or someone close, and Skyped with grandma and grandpa every day, she'd be fine. ;)

ETA--Also, I would be afraid to take my grand baby to that town, because if the defendants family found out she was there, they might try an emergency motion to have some visitation with her, knowing she was there.

I'd never want to risk that nightmare.

I totally agree and it seems like his lies went to numerous people so Im starting to question just about everything he allegedly said.

A few questions if anyone knows the answer to these.

Do we know why he had KB's gun to begin with?

Was that ever confirmed from KB that she let him have her gun? Or was that just PF saying these things?

Was KB's gun ever recovered?
I think the gun was recovered by the police. The girlfriend took the gun back home with her and gave it to a male friend. The friend is listed as a witness in this trial...to probably testify to the gun he returned to the police.
