Sam notes..

The two ranch hands that PF hired. First one, the teenager, had been working there since about July 2018 until November. Never met or had ever seen KB. Was very nervous on the stand. 18 years old, probably not a surprise that he was nervous, to discover he was a part of this.

About 75% of the trough was rusted out. PF told him to move it closer to the dog kennels. Photos showed discoloring, etc. They had to dig that out. Fill dirt in driveway. Pick up 100-150 nails from wooden pallets. Noted the faded gas can. Filled in with tan dirt. Original was red.

Said PF told him about lighting the fire. He called his relationship with PF that of a boss, a friend, a mentor. When he told him to move that trough, that PF told him to do that because he "just wanted to get some things cleaned up."

Could smell ash, smoke. As part of the fire, PF said he burnt some deer antlers. Possibly to justify there being bones if indeed there were any bones discovered. (Sam's speculation). Flames got as high as 13 feet. PF was concerned that trees could get set on fire. PF mentioned that his mother had come out.

Ranchhand's Richie and Sam (the minor) who both move d the trough AFTER the fire. PF said his MOM yelled at him about the fire. They disposed of things also at the scrap yard and met Pfs brother. AND disposed of things at Teller CO waste too.

Sam notes...

The other ranch hand on the stand... I think his name is Sam... confirmed he helped move the trough after the fire. PF mentioned his mom yelling at him during the fire and that's why he put it out. PF also told him about the deer antlers.

Yes, he helped make the dump run. Things were disposed in different locations - scrap yard, etc. Was tough to remember what certain items went there. Was confident all of this happened around Thanksgiving.

No cross examination.

Jury asked if other things were burned, didn't catch what, and why not.. he said he didn't know.

So PF told both boys that Sheila came outside during the fire, which corroborates what KK said as well.

Haaaaa. And his mommy DID yell at him, which I jokingly speculated about earlier:

“Patrick! What did I say about playing with Fire?! Put that fire out, and get to your room! You and I are going to have a little talk in the morning.”

Frazee trial: Defense asks why Kenney didn't alert authorities
[...]

She told the court she believes she was at Frazee’s ranch for about three or four hours after cleaning before she went back to Berreth’s townhome to send the text from Berreth’s phone to her mother. She reiterated the timeline of events she discussed Wednesday about how she and Frazee then went to a Florissant gas station and then drove to Nash Ranch to get the black tote that contained the bat allegedly used to kill Berreth and possibly her body.

[...]

In the video, Slater asked Kenney to describe the black tote, which she did, including details about the clasps and hinged lid. When asked where Frazee allegedly burned it, she said it was in a round aluminum water trough without a bottom.

[...]
She pointed out where she had first parked when she got to Frazee’s ranch on Nov. 24, noting that she got out and talked with Frazee for 60 to 90 minutes. He told her he needed to do chores and tend to Kaylee.

In the video, Kenney told Slater that Frazee had given her Berreth’s phone before she drove to Woodland Park, then back to a Conoco in Florissant. She further described how she and Frazee drove between Nash Ranch, Woodland Park and the Frazee ranch.

[...]

She said she brought the trash bags from Berreth’s home, containing items that were bloodied, to add to the fire. There were two white garbage bags and four black ones, she said. Kenney said she was present when Frazee first started the fire. In the video, she was seen showing authorities where Frazee got the wood from.

[...]

At one point, Slater could be heard on the video saying that Kenney mentioned Sheila Frazee, Patrick Frazee’s mother, came outside to look at the fire from the deck.

Kenney said Frazee poured gasoline into a “mineral bucket” and tossed that on the fire as well. Frazee put the entire black tote into the fire, she said. She left after that, so she didn’t see it completely burn, she said.

[...]

Viehman then introduced a second video.

... She put it all in trash bags, she said. She had been wearing a white jump suit that day, she said, with a gray sweater underneath and a black pair of leggings. Kenney said she put her socks, underwear and bra, and hairnet and shoe covers into the trash bags as well.

She said the following items were also in the trash bags:
  • Two big stuffed animals (including a white horse)
  • Wooden building blocks
  • Books, including Berreth’s Bible or some other religious-looking book
  • Plastic cookie cutters
[...]

The state then brought in a black tote, which Kenney said looked exactly like the tote from Frazee’s property. The state also brought in a cardboard box. Inside, Kenney said, appeared to be the gas can seen in the video which Frazee allegedly used to light the fire.

Amid tears, Kenney said it’s the faded, red gas can she saw.

Sam notes:

KK's story is aligning with evidence and with what the prosecution is presenting.

At least 80 witnesses that will likely take the stand. That was said before KK and these two ranch hands took the stand.

Perhaps some witnesses on evidence testing. Maybe cell phone records.

OMG NO.... Sam is NOT going to be at the trial tomorrow. He is best man in his best man's wedding. Booooo.

So, does she just go home and wait to be called? I mean, she lives pretty far and the trial will be going on for a bit more.

Sam noted she has to be available but he wasn't sure if that meant she had to stay physically close or not.

You can elect to change your name at a divorce, just like when you get married.

Sam Notes...

PF said he used KB for "what she was worth" - feeding animals, moving hay, running errands. KK couldn't kill KB because she thought KB was good for those things?? (Need to go back and listen after the live)

PF knew KK could clean because KK has cleaned his house before. (Why does that not surprise me)
Okay, I was listening and trying to type fast at the same time so excuse my quick notes - here's the part I kinda got, but what Sam actually said:

Kenney testified that Frazee told her he had “used Kelsey for what she was worth," which he said meant she'd run errands, water the horses and other duties along those lines. She started to cry in court, and said she told Frazee she “couldn’t kill Kelsey and I wasn’t going to.” She said she could perform those everyday tasks like cleaning, cooking, moving hay and feed the horses, but she could not do what he was asking of her. She said he knew she could at least clean, because she used to clean homes and had cleaned for him before.

Sam says KK said she "planted" the clues.
What a liar! Not surprised, at all. Good thing the evidence is pointing at PF and there’s no doubt he’s the murderer. She’s done herself no favours by trying to put herself in a better light. It’s just too transparent and so blatantly obvious it deserves the vomit emoji over and over again. I’ll spare you :)

I had asked why the media keeps mentioning her name is now Lee, not Kenney. Seattle said KK requested at this trial that she be recognized by her name Lee. But Kenney is her maiden name and she is divorced. So I guess she still uses her married name but the warrants and charges said mostly Kenney.

I doubt we're going to see PF's sister on the stand since she's been allowed in the courtroom to hear testimony. SF is definitely going to be called. That'll probably be another whopper of a day even if she repeatedly says "I can't recall" and/or "I plead the fifth." MOO
I wonder if she'll shock us all, like Patrick's brother did, and tell the truth. We all better alert our families as to where the smelling salts are located, in case they find us all on the floor, passed out from shock.

Ha! Hence the change.

She must think that if she goes by a different last name than what she was charged with, she won’t be a convicted felon.

“I didn’t commit that crime, Krystal Kenney did.”

As that commercial says, “that’s not how it works, that’s not how any of this works.”
