Why is the defense lawyer in CW’s house? I’ve never heard of such a thing. He’s a defense lawyer, not an investigator. I guess if he’s there with police he could be...what? Making sure protocol is followed?

Please tell me what I’m missing!!!

He is a pro bono lawyer I think. Not a lot of money to hire investigators. I would imagine since he is defending him he needs to have a lay of the land so to speak and have a run through the house. The house has been released and no longer a secured crime scene. The cops are there to officiate the walk through imo. No big deal.

Im not sure, but I’m guessing they would need search warrants to make it legal.

Yes but in such a case they can get them within a couple hours.

Mark Hacking. His wife was also pregnant.
Wow I had forgotten she was pregnant as well.
Wonder how his sorry life is these days? RIP Lori

In my Facebook experience, when you see someone start posting over the top praise for their spouse it's because something has happened already in the marriage, very often the other spouse has felt unappreciated and plans have been made to "work on it." It is the rare exception that the praises are coming from a place of genuine and sustained (or even reciprocated) love and appreciation.

I researched that this morning and did not find conclusive evidence. there have only been a few similar incidents worldwide.
I was looking as well and couldn't really find anything definite. I hope it won't speed things up too much, with the tanks being closed and full would heat be a factor?

In court proceedings it was stated that the house had been cleared and released. So I think the defense attorney would be fine to go back in. Probably trying to see if he could find anything that investigators missed. Moo

Maybe he told his attorney 100% the truth so he knows of something LE does not.

As far as I know there’s been no evidence that he was abusive, and not even any statements from people who knew them saying they thought he was. Domestic violence and emotional abuse are often hidden, insidious and incredibly damaging. And all the posts describing DV, how abusers work and the impact it can have on a person are spot on and I don’t mean to discount any of them. Just saying that may not have been the case here. Has there ever been a case like this where the spouse had no history of abuse and still killed his family?

Yes. That's the case with many family annihilators. Chris Coleman. John List. Etc.

He’s gonna have his 🤬🤬🤬 handed to him, and he should. He might not get the DP, but he’ll never walk free again.

Yup. 100% true. Unless he kills himself before, he's going to face stiff consequences.

I think he snapped over the financial stresses and took everybody out except himself which in itself is odd to me. I’m shocked this wasn’t murder x3 (4) suicide. But I also think a gf will be outed soon so really I’m just spinning gears trying to understand why he took out those precious baby girls.
Jmo

If he only killed his wife and he got away with it, and I do think he hoped to get away with it, then he would have to raise the girls. This may not have fit in with what he wanted to do in his new life. I also believe a girlfriend will surface.

He was suspicious from the start. LE could have asked for the security videos of where he worked.
I was going to post just that -- I think LE was suspicious of CW so they probably got a search warrant for the complex there. Or they simply could have gone there and asked to look at videos during the appropriate hours.
Three bodies is a lot to hide -- and it needs to be done asap. Going to his work site may not have looked odd as in, something like, "Yes, I went there because I wanted to get some work papers (whatever) to work on while my wife was out of town," etc.
I still just can't imagine it... Of all the places... And of course the company would have cameras everywhere. What a monstrous idiot.

Do you think they are doing luminol testing? I saw on the Twitter post the garage windows were covered up from the inside.

He would have to transport all the bodies through the garage into the truck to remove them.....

From what I have seen there was no mention of a forensic team there so my guess would be no they are not.

I’m just still so disgusted and frankly, flabbergasted!

So stumped that he would dispose of the bodies outside his work place! SW found in an open field (didn’t say she was even buried or covered up), and dumping the precious girls into the tanks that supposedly had alarms and possibly cameras??? This was not well th0ught out at all, I really don’t think he put much thought into this, on the cover up. Leads me to believe he never thought he’d get away with it. Also makes me think perhaps suicide WAS his plan, he just didn’t have the guts to go through with it so...

Stupidity doesn’t even start to explain his actions after he killed them...

John List. I don’t believe he abused his family until he killed them all one day. Macdonald, too. He ran around on Colette, but I don’t think he was otherwise emotionally or physically abusive.

Michael Blagg.

Was CW seen putting the bodies into the tanks on the security tapes??? I am wondering how they knew to look in them, did CW tell them. I can not imagine the people who had to retrieve those little bodies out of them. Makes me sick.
Another thing that bugs me about the oil tanks -- how did he manage to put those little girls in there (please excuse, but I want to know). Did he have to climb a ladder to the top or what? If so, that may be why he didn't do it with SW.

It could be that they are. But don't think they would allow defense to be on site if they were collecting evidence.

They have the bodies and even if they don't have a proper medical exam report, I would imagine LE involved would have taken a good look at the bodies prior to them going to the morgue. One of the things they would be looking for is if cause of death was visible. Gunshot, stabbing etc. which is a clear link back to the crime scene if blood exists. If they were suffocated or strangled, it would be more difficult to make that direct link in the way he dumped the girls in the tank. Fluid would enter the mouth and nose and possibly dislodge any fibers present that could be consistent to bedding back at the house. It really matters how it went down.
