I don't think Judge playing on anything. It's in the interest of justice for the defendant and his supporters to hear the summation. There's so much talk about Court being transparent I can't believe people are complaining over 20 minutes. Judge made his decision long before he sat down. MOO

I guess these are summations from an AA the public hasn't seen, because some of this is new information to us.

Maybe they have a message to someone that she sent telling what she did, jmo.

Or there was references in their text exchanges (including BM's deleted ones) that matched the list?

I hope it means the judge wants to hold over without bail but needs a little more from the prosecution to do so. That would mean the ball is in the state’s court. JMO

This may indeed be the case, but it doesn't make sense to me. Seems odd to limit the PH to a few days, then spend weeks after arriving at a decision -- and then hedge that decision on the further efforts of State and D arguments compressed into 20 minutes each. If that was the route you meant to follow, why not instruct the attorneys to do that as part of the PH? Can a 20-min "closer" type argument really move the needle?

My dad was a judge. He certainly agonized over decisions, but I can't imagine him drawing one out in this way. It's verging on a reality-show reveal at this point, IMO.

Sean Connelly is a new attorney for the defense and Dan Edwards is a new attorney on the state side. Judge Patrick Murphy is limiting the arguments to 20 minutes for each side. Then he will make a decision. A motion was filed yesterday by the defense.

The people will go first. Attorney Edwards has taken the stand talking about Probable Cause. He will take 10 min and then Deputy District Attorney Jeff Lindsay will take the other 10 minutes. #BarryMorphew closing arguments.

I just find it hard to believe that a Judge would weigh all of the evidence for a month and then get swayed by closing arguments? In a preliminary?
Agreed. But here we are and I’m hoping whatever he’s doing is for the sake of having reason to hold without bail.

Prosecutor says the case comes down to "Plain and simple, domestic violence homicide, intimate partner homicide."

Prosecutor says tranquilizer needle cap in his drier is a pivotal piece of evidence. Says they understand there’s no body - says that seems like the body gone is something #BarryMorphew "accomplished."

Oh wow. This explains the “Turkey” excuse! Here’s your premeditation.

On Saturday between 11:30 and 1 pm, the last day there's proof Suzanne was alive, Barry removed the game cameras near their home. The tranquilizer cap found in the Morphew dryer is a key piece of evidence, and prosecutors say he had injuries on the outside of his hands.

Could 2 decisions have been typed out with reasons for both and today’s arguments will decide which way he rules?

The prosecution is done, and the defense is giving their final arguments. The defense says the prosecution's case is based on conjecture.

Lindsey continues by saying what us important is the “tranquilizer” evidence. He says when asked the last the #BarryMorphew saw of #SuzanneMorphew he says she was lightly snoring. Lindsey says that was because of the tranquilizer chemical. With that he wraps up

My guess is that those were Suzanne's words to her sister. MOO
