Still Missing CO - Suzanne Morphew, 49, Chaffee Co, 10 May 2020 *arrest* #95

No the last ping was not near the tower....it was 11 miles away - most likely at their home.

There is one FCC-registered cellular tower in Poncha Springs. It is at 11170 W Highway 50. It is approximately 12 miles from that tower to Garfield, where BM claimed to have turned his vehicle around after heading west early Mother's Day morning before he turned around and headed toward Broomfield.

From the AA, page 5:

Sergeant Mullenax asked dispatch to ping the number given for Suzanne’s cell phone. Dispatch informed Mullenax that the cell phone appeared to be off and last known activity was at 4:23AM on the present date, with a general location about 11.5 miles west of a cell tower in Poncha Springs, CO.​

ETA: The distance from that cell tower to the Puma Path home was 9.6 miles driving, or about 8.5 miles as the crow files (or cell signal travels). So, the phone was not likely at the home.

On Google Earth, it is possible to set up a "measuring stick" with a distance 12 miles from that cell tower to get a sense of the area in which that phone had its last ping. It's basically all along that ridge after Hwy 50 turns slightly SW toward Monarch Pass. It would be very difficult to search in that steep area.

When Did BM & ShoDa Meet?

1) So he DID know her upon moving there. I’m speculating that she cleaned the Morphews new residence before and maybe after they moved in. In any event 2) if she knew the Cushman’s, she knew Barry. And Shoshona might be the very reason the Cushmans support Barry to this day.

Does it necessarily follow that BM knew her upon the move, that is, when Morphew fam moved to CO? Maybe yes; maybe no; possibly BM merely knew of her; IDK.
After Morphews moved into home if ShoDa continued to clean the PP home, what contact, if any, did BM necessarily have w her? Maybe none; maybe lots, IDK.

2) "...if she knew the Cushman’s, she knew Barry." Why? Did the Cushmans have a long-standing or very public relationship w BM? Maybe one I have not read about or otherwise missed?

Not saying either bbm is inaccurate, just saying I'm not aware of factual basis. my2ct.

I'm waiting for someone tomorrow to tell us to get a room, hahah.
I have a hard time keeping up but try to because some comments are a wealth of knowledge and perspective. I remember certain things too but mostly I'm along for the ride. If there was one case I wish I'd taken notes (earlier), set up better files it's this one. After another missing person's case which ended in no resolve, I didn't have it in me to get too involved - yet here I am - immersed in seeing Suzanne and her family get the justice they so sorely deserve and the guilty party pay dearly. I'm also waiting for a damn car alarm down the block to be somehow disarmed.
What time does the hearing start tomorrow? I can't think. At least there's a two hour time difference.

And funny that, that's right about where Barry guessed it would be found.

Maybe the mountain lion was trying to hit a bull elk right between the lies.

I realize the times don’t exactly line up, but I also don’t believe in coincidences. Is it a coincidence that SM’s phone last pinged about 11.5 miles west of a cell tower in Poncha Springs and BM made his infamous uturn at Garfield on Highway 50 11.3 miles west of that same cell tower?

ETA: Somehow I thought it was the day before my daughter's which is the 30th but no, it's the same day. The level of pain and heartache this monster has caused for this family, AND forever ruined both Mother's Day and Suzanne's own birthday. Ugh.
