It's interesting that it took a month to even herd the sister into the "speak for FD" corral! Where, indeed, are the others?

FD no longer has any money and could only afford to fly his niece to the US, so that she could take custody of the children. IMO

It must have taken some time and money to fly his sister over to the US.

Maybe she had to come up with the money herself?

IMO, he did not expect to receive the call yet, because he still had the trash bags and had not yet completed, IMO, the 'Set Up' of the Ex-Employee by the 'Trash Bin Odyssey of Stupidity'.

FD would have definitely wanted to get those bags taken care of first since he would not want them anywhere near him or one of his properties when he is notified.

Since FD could only have Supervised visits with the children and Supervised phone conversations, I highly doubt that he could have direct phone contact with them and vice versa through conversation, texting, or IM.

It is possible to block people from calling to and receiving from someone's phone. I have done this with my grandson's phone and I had to enter a passcode that he does not know, nor could he figure out.

IMO, LE contacted FD late Friday night or early Saturday morning, after they determined that a 'serious physical assault' happened in JD's garage at 69 Welles Lane and GF told LE about the contentious divorce.

IMO, LE saw FD as prime suspect #1 right from the start and took measures to not make a situation where FD would Run.

LE took their time and kept everything even keel so not to spook FD until they could get enough evidence to make the arrest.

IMO, FD and MT would have turned their phones off for the 'Odyssey' had they already known LE was on the case.

Another possible explanation of how FD heard about the search for JD could be tracked to the MT's daughter talking with FD's kids by text, phone, or Skype. When MT was allowed to go to NY, either the judge or the state's attorney mentioned the no-contact order included the children contacting one another. That was an interesting comment, but made sense since the kids had interacted in the past and shared similar interests. It could have been as simple as, "We aren't going to be able to see you this weekend unless my mom shows up. Everybody is looking for her." MOO

Exactly, FD would probably be the last person JD's friends or family would call if they were concerned about her whereabouts. They were estranged. He had threatened her. She was afraid for her life. He was not allowed to contact their children or speak with them or see them without court appointed supervision.

The very next week after 2 long years in divorce court, FD was due to be in divorce court to finally cough up the financial information that he had been refusing to provide in the previous court proceedings, that would probably show what a sham his life was, and what a scammer and fraud he was.

So FD would be the last person for family or friends to check in with, IMO. Now LE, once she was reported missing, that would be another thing entirely, IMO. They were probably already on alert to be on the lookout for FD to do something terrible to his estranged wife, and jumped right on it that same day, which FD was not expecting, hence the early evening dumping of evidence that had JD's blood on it and / or the disposing of her body early the next morning at his nearby NC property.

'Be prepared' isn't just the Boy Scout motto; LE was ready to snap to as soon as they were alerted, and so were JD's friends and family. I've heard of some people on the periphery in DV situations to call local police stations and just tell them, 'hey, you should be aware that if ___ every goes missing, you should look at ____ right away for these reasons'. Or LE could have already been on top of the situation 'through the grapevine' -- NC is not that big of a town.

JMO, it's very tragic that all their vigilance and quick reaction time couldn't save JD from a soulless maniac who took her life, but it was very heroic on her part to fight back (which I assume she did when attacked in the garage due to the blood evidence LE found), and do everything she could to protect her children, to have a plan in place and regular check-ins with friends and family, etc. Way to go, JD, friends, and family. Very admirable, and a saving grace for your family involved unwittingly with such a monster. I also think something big is about to break in the case as LE finishes running to ground the 1000+ tips, dozens of video surveillance, and processing evidence from a month of combing through MIRA. All JMO.

DITTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah. Red tape along the trees. Not crime scene tape. Doesn't appear to block the driveway. Truthfully, why would he need it? Seems the media has bailed. MOO.

Sometimes contractors use red tape to put on the end of lumber, etc. if it’s protruding from the back of a truck. Maybe he just used some of it to tell people to stay out. I can’t say I’d like to visit!

IMO, LE had not informed FD that JD was missing yet.

FD's and MT's phones both pinged on Albany Avenue at 7:10 pm in Hartford/West Hartford which means they left 4 Jefferson Crossing before 7:00 pm with the exact time unknown, depending on which end of Albany Avenue they were on, when their phones pinged at 7:10 pm.

LE received the call at 6:59 pm and went to the Welles Lane home shortly thereafter for a welfare check.

Then LE took time to ring the door bell and look around the home and then eventually get the security code from the Nanny, to enter the home.

IMO, LE did not know they were dealing with a true missing person until they saw the blood splatter in JD's garage, at some point later.

IMO, I highly doubt JD's Family and Friends would let FD know that JD was missing and I highly doubt they called FD to ask if he had heard from JD either.

I am leaning your way on the altered plates on the Employee Red Truck.

It could not have been on FD's Ford Raptor, because FD wanted the employee to be seen in FD's truck and FD needed the 'alibi' that the employee was in the Ford Raptor.

I doubt the plates would have been on JD's Suburban since FD wanted everyone to think that JD had parked her car at Lapham Road and went for a run in Waveny and he could not risk someone seeing him take the plates off while at Waveny.

So, the only vehicle left, is the employee's Red Truck and No Doubt in my mind, that the plates were On the Red Truck.

IMO, FD had to make sure that the actual plates of the red truck, did not show up in any photos that might be taken from LE cameras posted anywhere from Farmington to New Caanan and back.

IMO, FD also wanted to make sure the employee thought FD did not drive the red truck on Friday, May 24, 2019 and therefore covered or exchanged the plates before driving the red truck to NC and removed them after going through the car wash and returning the red truck to the Mountain Springs location where the employee had parked and left the truck when the employee took FD's Ford Raptor.

It is Very important for FD's case if the employee thought that FD did not drive the Red Truck that Friday.

While it’s not that hard to switch plates, it takes a little time—but not if you use strong magnets like rare earth magnets like contractors use between the two plates, the ones that are correct and the altered ones, or gorilla tape. I once needed to put a new plate on my car and the old one was stuck. Until I got the old one off a day later, I went with the magnets and tape.

Thus, if anyone is looking for evidence that the red truck’s bolts were removed, that may not have been done at all even if the faux plates were used.

I wonder if his sister ever met MT?
Did he take her to Greece?
Did his sister ever know about her?

Don’t ever sell yourself short like that, I will not hear of it!!

That is so sweet! :) Let’s say that I no longer have to be brave like these kids and anyone else in the thick of such a thing does.

Ok - You've convinced me.
You’re right! My opinion stinks.
I like your theory.
Can I have it, too?

By having altered the license plate, this is a clear case of premeditation.

Thank you everyone for keeping the media thread updated - been out of pocket - I was hoping for an arrest soon but after what we discovered in the Kenzie Lueck case I’m now considering the possibility none of her tissue has been located and/or identified. LE in Utah was quick to declare KL deceased when they got the dNA back on the tissue in the burn pile- making me wonder now just what they have discovered in JDs case...

No idea but could it be due to different levels of certainty different LE departments want? Esp. knowing that Pattis will be on anything factual given his history of leaping on his own fiction?

This is what keeps me psyched.
30 investigators working on the case.
No new searches that we know about.
A detailed presser before they finished the landfill search.
Full court press with competent men.
And what did they say?
We are doing this for Jennifer.

The NC line has a single train track which connects to the New Haven Line of Metro North in Stamford, CT. The track is electric and is raised off the ground in parts with virtually no clearance/shoulder in sections for the NC portion (prior to moving into Darien and later Stamford). I'm not sure I would ever walk or run on the tracks as if the train showed up and you were in the wrong spot on the line then there would be no place to escape the train. Maybe if you studied the schedule and got comfortable with knowing where you needed to be at what time then maybe you could make it work but I'm still not sure. Someone on thread from back in the 70s said they walked/ran on the track.

The thing though is that even in some of the spots where there is a 'shoulder' to get off the tracks its rocky and hilly and covered in brush. I won't be back for a week but maybe I can take the GoPro down the line from the main station to talmadge hill to explain what I'm talking about in terms of places to escape the train. I will also try to find the historical schedule to post (think we put it in a prior thread) because now there is construction work going on and busses are being used.

Dirt bikes or mountain bikes or ATVs could do.

Replying to my own post....I'm speculating that this is what happened -- Before JD's friends contacted NCPD at 7 pm they may have made a last ditch effort to find her by contacting FD. They may have told him they were going to file a missing person's report. Speculation and JMO.
That’s about as good explanation as any I can come up with - her friends very likely knew the contentious divorce details and were worried - I would contact the STbX if it were me JMO (I still think there is a possibility of the kids or her mom contacting him )

Did his sister ever know about her?

Sure she did-remember, RD said she and JD emailed until about 6 months ago. I am sure that if nobody else told her, JD did.

If it were my sister or friend who was missing under these circumstances I would reach out to the estranged husband before contacting police. I don't see a down-side to contacting him and trying to gauge his reaction. But I know others might feel differently. JMO.
I sometimes wonder as we are sleuthers we might approach this differently than people who don’t follow these horrific crimes ? Honestly I would reach out to my friends ex as we were all friends once and our children grew up together -hypothetically ? We will know once his records and MTs are released JMO

All of us are going to do the biggest happy dance ever when we finally press that refresh or search button and see the SWAT team arrest Fulos! Hopefully when he’s out having sushi or grocery shopping.

Hope LE can find those emails and read their discussions....They should certainly cast some insight into JD. (Add-on....I would think she might turn to FD's older sister for advice on how to work with FD.)

I wonder how many of those emails exchanged between ReDu and JD up until about six months ago were actually between ReDu and FD appearing in the role of JD?

Unless they were FaceTiming, I bet it was Mr. Two Timing behind the wheel.

And why stop six months ago?
Whose attorneys told ReDu to knock it off with the emailing JD?

Hopefully the ip of origin info might still be able to be pulled off JD’s computer and devices as well as FD’s computer and devices. Can the ip location of the sender and recepient’s address be pulled to see whether ReDu was in fact communicating with JD? Why email if so? Who was the ghostwriter in this loop?

Maybe this partly explains all those secret double hidden life and dark side to sick Jennifer theories NCN kept on floating out in the way back.

Maybe what lies beneath will bob up again.

The ice is thin at Mill Pond. That’s where we used to skate when I was a kid.

Maybe the bargain basement hitman backed out or scammed FD.

Maybe bc the hitman was an amateur (either FD and/or some undocumented day laborer he threatened to get deported but offered to generously pay though planned to kill) botched the job a little.

Or just no one planned on Jennifer fighting back, or being missed so quickly, so there was more mess, more work, and less time than had been budgeted for this project.

The irony, yes?

If you want something done right, you might as well Dulos yourself. Thus the crazy GG, then the heroin trafficking ex-lover angle, then the revenge suicide theory, and now we’re just back to the hoping everything turns out nicely for everyone and Jennifer comes home fairytale.

If ReDu loved Jennifer, her kids, and the Farber fam really, how could she toss out those poisoned bread crumbs for Tinkerbell?

Bake-off indeed.

Maybe they did need that Lye after all. Or at least some homonym.

Cause he is a good cook you know.

Ask anyone. Alive or even not so.
