Still on the poison ivy discussion:

MT mentions meeting a week or two weeks ago with a man with FD that she hadn't seen before and going to someplace called "Sundown" - not a very nice place. He said the place they went was 23 acres. It wasn't clear to me whether the guy wanted to sell FD some land or wanted to buy land from FD.

"He had a table saw* the size of this table." Other things. Very creepy place. She told FD she wanted to leave, because "we're going to get killed here."

*Could she have been describing a saw used to cut lumber from timber?
I missed Sundown, I wonder if it was a reference to Ski Sundown? I brought it up yesterday since it's near Canton. It's definitely not a nice ski resort or anything, lol.

maybe LE should check out the “creepy sundown” guy’s property too… JMO

Really emotional now.

They tell her that they have texts, he was trying to get back with JFd.

Head down, sobbing.

Clip from CT Insider from TP about whether MT will testify:

Outside the courthouse during the lunch recess, Schoenhorn told reporters that his client was trying to be “as accurate as possible” despite less than ideal conditions.

Schoenhorn said that, during the first interview on June 2, 2019, his client had been up for two days, arrested at night in her pajamas in front of her daughter, driven to New Canaan and kept in a cold cell.

“You have to watch the whole video, and you have to judge for yourself whether things were said that allegedly were changed, whether things were being clarified, whether she was being cut off,” he said. “The video speaks for itself.”

He said the defense was still undecided about whether Troconis herself would testify

“You’re hearing what the testimony would be anyway,” he added, referring to her interviews with police. [BBM]

My mind is blown......

They tell her FD lies to everyone. He lied to her. He used her. He would think nothing of pinning this on her.

She says she'll tell them whatever they want, she didn't do it.

Interesting detail... They asked if FD resembled PG after MT shaved his head. I assumed the reason was DNA related, but could it just be because the plan was always to frame PG if caught?

Her daughter was on the ski team at Walker's and they practiced at Sundown. She knew it very well, helped out on field trips.

This was the first time with his head shaved like that. First time he asked her to do it. She says she laughed at it.

I figured they must be familiar since it's really the only local place to ski, but I didn't realize they were there regularly, interesting!

I find it fascinating watching Attny. Bowman. What is even going through his mind at this point?

Defendant is describing the events of the 25th. They met with clients at 9am. Fotis was supposed to get his kids.

They ask her, the mother of his kids is missing, wouldn't he drop everything?

Didn't you think to ask him about those trash bags?

He used you to help me with the clean up.

"I hate him for that."

"I wasn't cleaning Jennifer."

The defendant verifies that Fotis typically has his phone with him, unusual to leave it behind.

When asked by LE if she knew what happened to JF:

Babbling from script and then:

MT says, "I think Jennifer is hiding"....

She proceeds to discuss the discredited report....

Asking her if, when FD came home, did he ask for his phone.

Defendant is surprised to learn FD had a second phone.

They ask her if it's strange he left his phone home the same morning Jennifer went missing.

She answers "I didn't see his phone."

I think they have to be, she's wound up tighter than a chihuahua. I would be so intimidated to be questioned by Ventresca and Kimball, yet they're both so reassuring and calming. It's interesting that she's still a ball of stress.
I think it’s the guilt.

State pauses videos to ask the detective if, at a later interview, she said that she answered a phone call on that phone. Yes.

Judge calls for a 10 minute recess.

Guilt? Guilt requires conscience. Reflection. Empathy. Insight.
I think it's something more akin to panic, anxiety. Testxiety. She's trying to get her answers right.
IMO, no guilt, no remorse bubbling to the surface.
Her only genuine emotion is how this impacts her.

I will need to rewatch video of this morning's proceedings.

For those familiar with Ski Sundown, near Canton. Is there a small lumber bill on some wooded acreage with a pond or on a river anywhere nearby? Or, a furniture maker? Some place that might have a lumber saw and other "scary looking equipment" (maybe a planer...).

Would a scraper with razor (looked like Stanley model 28-500) like one found in the trash bin on Albany Ave be used to scrape fleshy material off a lumber saw after it was used?
