Still Missing CT - Vanessa Morales, 1, missing after mother found deceased, Ansonia, 28 Nov 2019 *arrest* #2

Ah - I was wondering about this date. From the same article from above:

Morales is expected to appear in New Haven Superior Court on Feb. 26 to answer two charges of being a felon in possession of two stun guns. The guns were found in the bedroom of the New Haven home he shares with his mother and Garcia during a Dec. 3 search.

Two stun guns! Nasty piece of work isn't he? I hate to think of what he did to that baby. Moo

Gun charges for Ansonia murder defendant transferred to Milford Court

Updated 8:25 pm EST, Wednesday, February 26, 2020

NEW HAVEN — Two stun gun charges pending against New Haven resident Jose Morales were transferred Wednesday to Milford Superior Court where Morales already is facing murder charges.

Superior Court Judge Melanie Cradle ordered the transfer to consolidate the criminal cases against Morales, 43, who is charged with murdering Christine Holloway and tampering with evidence in connection with that crime.

Assistant State’s Attorney Melissa Holmes asked the judge for the transfer so all of the charges could be dealt with at the same time.

Cradle ordered Morales to appear March 5 before Superior Court Judge Peter Brown in the Milford courthouse.

Oh good.... don't need to keep separate dates! :D

Boyfriend of slain Ansonia woman, missing daughter pleads not guilty to weapons charges

Mar 05, 2020 1:05 PM
A man charged in the death of his girlfriend and whose baby daughter has been missing appeared in Milford court Thursday.
[.....]
Morales pleaded not guilty to murder and tampering with evidence at his last appearance, and is still being held on a $5 million bond.
[.....]
During Thursday’s court appearance, Morales pleaded not guilty to weapons charges after police found two stun guns in his home in New Haven during a search following Holloway's death and his daughter's disappearance.

He and Pattis also waived a probable cause hearing.
[.....]
The state and the defense are still exchanging discovery.

"We are beginning to receive hundreds, if not thousands of documents from the state relating to their investigation of this. We won't have a lot to say about this case publicly unlike other cases,” Pattis said.

Pattis says he could get the discovery as early as the end of the week.

Morales is due back in court on April 15.

Bbm: Why is THIS case different from "others"? WTA(REDACTED)???

Amen! Not hearing from Atty. P. on this one will IMO be an absolute blessing for this tragic case! Best news I've heard ALL day! Atty. P. spent months and months undertaking a slash and burn approach to the murder victim Jennifer Dulos. The public backlash against Atty. P. and his client (who gassed himself to death last month) was real so we can only hope that Atty. P. and Atty Smith learned from prior experience (I'm not hopeful in this regard but will enjoy their silence in this case in the meantime!).

MOO
