Interesting .. the three adults, and a child, was one of their children 18 and therefore an adult, that leaves one minor daughter and a minor son doesn't it? The Porsche is key by the looks ..

Car belonging to mom or dad perhaps and used to escape crime scene?

Thanks for posting this WF.....I just happened upon the report with some neighborhood witnesses. it sounds like the daughters were away at boarding school....a neighbor was said to have seen the wife and housekeeper loaded into ambulances. It was thought the younger boy was probably among the injured/dead as he had missed school.

Sad story....will keep an eye on this......such a beautiful area - you wouldn't expect this type of thing in this neighborhood, apparently close to residences of the Clinton's and Biden's.

There has to be cameras all over that neighborhood and possibly the house it self.

    ciao

Oh perhaps my first impression was wrong, and it was someone either connected to the housekeeper or even the husband & father? That could explain the three deceased adults and the poor child .. very sad.

This is very odd...wonder if they were dead before fire was started. Also, wondering about the blue Porsche.

Pretty bold to start a fire at 1:30 in the afternoon/broad daylight.

Also wondering what time all of this happened as the child did not attend school that morning

The car was last seen at the home at 10:30am

True. I keep thinking about that case out west where the son was "away at school" when his family got killed.

Can't find a time for the text.

But on Thursday morning, she received a text message from the mother saying the family was sick so she should not come by. Mrs Savopoulos did not pick up when the housekeeper called and a text she sent also went unanswered, she said.
'She said, "I want to make sure you are not coming today",' the housekeeper recounted as she spoke to NBC4. '"Come Monday or any other day but not today".'

Where did the gasoline come from? Did they routinely keep some around for yard work? If so, the killer would have had to known that too and where it was stored. Otherwise, it would be a pretty laborious chore to bring some along with you w/o a car. Unless the killer used the car to purchase some gas, but that's also very risky/bold.

It seems as if someone was familiar with them.
They would have to know about the second housekeeper. ( unless the wife actually did text her, but I am not feeling that)
They would have to know where to get gasoline

Also, there was no forced entry was there?

No forced entry. The car being found in Maryland pretty much rules out murder/suicide.

We had a case here a while back where a supposedly wealthy man set off fireworks and some other thing in his house (which resulted in a huge fire) to kill himself and his family. It was in Florida, I believe, and they lived in a pretty large mansion/estate owned by a famous ?golfer? or some athlete.
