If the "real" juror 17 was called into the judges chambers along with the DT to talk about it, then even though it was a mistaken situation, it was at this very point during this resentencing phase that the DT got a personal meeting with this real Juror #17, and
this was the start of the DT beginning to realize who she was, who she may have been related to, and to realize her opinions on the DP.
This event could have opened up the DT eyes to a juror on this jury that may have happened to favor their side over the State side. Afterall, its not too often the DT gets a personal meeting with one of the jurors.
