I'm thinking "42 days" in street lingo would be "six weeks". Maybe "prison think" works in days, not weeks.

Okay..........so the 42 day thing is all conjecture at this point ? The only thing I could make of it was maybe they gave her 3 days for each infraction she committed (14 total) , or something along those lines.

I would think that on April 13, that prison bus is going to be sitting out in the parking lot with the engine revving, and after the sentencing.......off she goes.
Maybe they will carry the other 12 days over to Perryville for her.

I imagine Arpio wants her out of his jail and out of his life, post haste.

Some people view criticism as an attack on them personally. They shut themselves off and shut down because that may have been a dealing mechanism they acquired through the DV experience. jmo

I would also think it's hard to say what might be triggering to someone who's been through DV. They might not hear and/or reason the same way someone who has not had that experience. Personally I think someone who experienced DV would not be a good juror choice for a case like this. But, if they "say" they can handle it, then the prosecution might be stuck with them.

Yep. Foreman could be saying they did not buy what MF and Geff were selling but that he did not dislike them. IOW, he had no reason to not respect their titles when they took the stand, and with that listened to what they had to say in court. Then in deliberations they as a group tossed it out as hogwash.

So far as I have seen on MSM reports there have been no credible threats.

Sigh. She doesn't deserve to be threatened- if she actually IS being threatened, other than venting on SM. I hope the attorney she's hired is actually there to represent her in an ongoing investigation into juror misconduct.

IOW, he had no reason to not respect their titles when they took the stand, and with that listened to what they had to say in court. Then in deliberations they as a group tossed it out as hogwash.

Based on his interview with Jen Wood, he didn't seem that troubled by Dr. Fonseca or her attitude. Some of the other jurors might have been, including excused juror #3. But not the Foreman. It was a good interview though. He really got it.

Jodi's followers and entourage will be mixed in with the highway patrol escorts as they slowly make the trip down the freeway. Some of them will probably be screaming, yelling, and waving and will most likely get themselves arrested.

Should be good, clean, wholesome family fun for everybody ! :happydance: :fence:

Maybe once Joe took the issues before the reporting committee (or whatever it is officially called) it was determined the maximum time for the slapdown was 42 days. Or, it could be they considered the 32 days remaining at the time til sentencing and added another 10 days to that to allow for delays in transport. Transport delays are not uncommon and maybe 10 days is the typical delay.

I think Joe and others making the decision wanted the ban to cover the entire rest of her stay at Estrella so they did what they had to do in hope of achieving that.

Arpio, in the smackdown heard 'round the world yesterday, stripped the <modsnip> from all of her privileges for the next 42 days. We all know that her sentencing is in exactly 30 days (one month) from today.

What's the extra 12 days for ? Is there going to be a delay in sending her over to Perryville after she is sentenced ?

42 days seems like a weird number to me.

Maybe this has been answered already, but I have to work for a living, so I don't have much time to read all of the proceeding pages until later.

probably has nothing to do with the sentencing date. 42 days is exactly 6 weeks. They probably dole out 'restrictions' in increments of weeks or combinations of weeks, so her violations warranted 6 weeks. It's just fortunate that it overlaps her sentencing date, so it effectively covers the rest of her time there. That's my guess.

Possibly the same as if a correction Officer wanted to visit and inmate. Usually if you have a professional relationship with the inmate, you are not able to immediately able to visit them as if you are friends or family or a lawyer. MLDR's job as a mitigator is over. She no longer has a professional relationship with CMJA and has to sit out a while.

You're so right, that relationship went beyond professional to personal long ago. MDLR is now FB friends with Mama Arias and Auntie Sue.

BTW, Cyrus C, ugh! My DH and I visit NOLA frequently, and always stay in Harvey.

Even if he thought MF and Geff made sense in their testimony from a psych viewpoint, he did not believe any of what they testified to applied to Jodi. So, it's all good.

agree. I think she retained an attorney for the purpose of advising her of her media rights. Probably because she wants to interview for $$$

Based on the statement released by the county attorney, the "threats" against juror 17 can not presently be verified. If juror 17 were in fact receiving threats, why would the county attorney not have copies of those threats? Perhaps because they don't exist?
