What an adorable dog! This story reminds me of what my dog did when my cat had kittens. The cat hadn't had any litters and was clueless as to what she needed to do. She left the cats in the box and walked away and my dog didn't like that too well. So, he picked up the kittens one by one and took them to the momma kitty-and she proceeded to feed them. The dog was like that the whole time the kittens were around. He would discipline them, too. It was totally hilarious to watch. He's a great dog!
