Some of the stats are off, but I came across these, and I'm unsure if Grateful Dead Doe's hair color is natural red or dyed. I'm getting conflicting info from different sites.

I'm inclined to think that he was never reported as missing.

Or reported very late. I've came across missing persons where the report wasn't filed for like 15-20 years.

Is this the only recon of Jason Doe? Are there any autopsy photo's available? I have seen some recons that do not resemble the doe at all.

I thought I read that they didn't release or didn't take an autopsy photo because of the extent of his injuries.

I agree. I think Caroline O. and Caroline T. might be the best opportunity to id this young man if we can find them.

I agree with this as well.

Perhaps he has family out there, who believe he is alive and well, and simply assume he doesn't wish to be in contact with them. Maybe they think, "Well, if something had happened to him, surely we would have heard about it!". Not imaging a scenario where he is killed in a car accident and no ID is found with him.

Call it a gut feeling, but I've always thought this could be a good possibility.

    Aron Holmes Silverman RULED OUT

I was going to put this one up but the eye color is off. JD is brown and Aron's is blue. After one is deceased, can the eye color change?

    http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/516dmva.html

"When he was found, he had shoulder length wavy hair that was a lighter brown or possibly what could be considered dark blond, which had at some point been dyed red. The red dye was believed to be temporary due to the fading of the color causing his hair to appear different shades of red." http://www.geocities.com/trying2id/JDpage.html

I'd report that and have them check into it, even if they eye color doesn't match.

Donald Izzett was last heard from in July 1995, when he was living with an elderly man in California.

While I don't personally feel this is our "Jason", I feel it is worth mentioning that the time he was reported missing and the time "Jason" was killed in the accident, are not that far apart. If you read Donald's Charley Project page you will see that Donald received a traffic citation in May of 1995, and he was due to appear in court on June 27th, 1995, he never showed up. After that date, we only have an unknown friend stating that he talked to Donald in July, what if this was simply an estimation on the friends part and was perhaps incorrect?

I think such things are important to consider when searching for matches of John and Jane Does.

Yeh, just like MJD family believes that he's just gone off and out of contact due to his being a deadhead and living that sort of lifestyle.
