I didn't see this anywhere and decided to post this since it's in my city... At least one fatal in Lockport hotel fire April 1, 2008 By BRIAN STANLEY Staff Writer LOCKPORT A five-alarm fire raged through a residential hotel Tuesday morning, killing at least one person. http://www.suburbanchicagonews.com/heraldnews/news/870918,JO01_LOCKFIRE_WEB.article and http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/blotter/chi-lockport-hotel-fire-webapr02,1,7777353.story and http://www.southtownstar.com/news/870978,0401lockportfire.article What a shame that someone lost their life. I'm praying for the victim and their family and for the family of the missing person. God bless them. I went there today on my way into work and took some photos. The coroner's van was still out in front at 10:30 a.m. and the cadaver dogs were still working... I wonder if they identified the victim yet. On top of everything, this is also a historic building (the Volz Building) in Lockport's historic downtown corridor.
