Adonai Moran Rivera, 21, and Talon Page, 25, were both charged with destroying/tampering with evidence and accessory after the fact of a capital felony, records show.

... The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said Fussell was last seen after an argument with someone on Driggers Road in Lakeland.

“This particular location has been known, according to some of the neighbors, for a lot of traffic in and out, maybe drug sales or drug usage,” Sheriff Grady Judd said.

Fussell was allegedly very close with Talon Page. Sheriff Judd said the two were best friends and referred to each other as brothers.

Authorities said Fussell was staying with Page at the time of his disappearance.

“Last Friday afternoon we got evidence back from the lab that confirmed that the blood that we seized from the house on 1116 Driggers Road, where Talon lived, was in fact Ethan's blood," said Polk County Sheriff, Grady Judd.

[...]

“We have reason to believe that Adonai took part in the murder, but Talon Page was the primary source to murder his best friend,” said Judd.

Page was with 21-year-old Adonai Moran-Rivera, who, according to Judd, sold drugs for Page. Judd said Moran Rivera is also a marijuana user and a gang member.

Page has 11 previous felony arrests and 16 previous misdemeanor arrests.

Judd said Moran Rivera was just released from prison on May 1, 2023. He has 41 previous felony charges and 16 misdemeanor charges.

"Ethan is not a bad kid," Judd said. "In fact, he’s just the opposite. He’s a good boy. He’s only 21 years of age. He was growing up. He didn’t want to go along with mom and dad’s rules at home because he’s growing up, so he moved out. Unfortunately, he befriended the likes of these folks. Now, that’s what ultimately cost him his life was who he was friends with, but I can tell you he has zero arrest history. He’s never been in any trouble with us at all. He simply was hanging out with the wrong crowd. This was a solid kid, and he is now deceased, and his body, we don’t know where it is. We want to return Ethan to his family. He comes from a wonderful, beautiful family that has been totally cooperative and worked with us."

In a news conference Monday, Judd said detectives positively identified blood found on furniture at the home as Fussell’s. Detectives noted a section of carpet was cut out and removed from the living room, the arrest report stated.

“Additionally, Talon Page and Adonai Moran-Rivera took steps to burn items at a secondary location and was observed by a witness with a section of rolled up carpet inside the vehicle they were in,” the affidavit reads.

Judd also made an appeal to young women who may have hung out at the house to come forward as witnesses.

"We’d like for you to tell us where Ethan is so we can return him to his family," Judd said.

The sheriff said there are going to be more criminal charges and more people will be arrested.

"These are just bad actors. They’re nasty, mean, violent people. Look, when you have dope, and you have guns, you have death and, unfortunately, for Ethan, that’s what happened," Judd said.

The investigation is ongoing.

According to the arrest affidavit, a search warrant was executed on the home where Fussell's blood was found in the living room including on a couch, loveseat, and portions of the carpet. There was one section of the carpet that had been cut and removed and wasn't located.

A Bissell carpet cleaner in the laundry room also tested positive for Fussell's blood.

The sheriff will speak at 12:30 p.m. regarding Ethan Fussell’s homicide investigation.

On Monday, the sheriff’s office announced that Fussell had been murdered, after being reported missing on May 13 by his girlfriend who hadn’t heard from him since May 7.

Two men with ties to the man, Adonai Moran Rivera, 21, and Talon Page, 25, were arrested and both charged with destroying and tampering with evidence and accessory after the fact of a capital felony.

Fussell was last seen on Driggers Road in an argument with Page, whom he had been living with for seven months at the time he went missing.

“Ethan’s mistake was he trusted someone who he thought was his friend and ultimately the guy got mad at him and murdered him,” Sheriff Judd said in a press conference on Monday.

The newest update will be livestreamed in the video player above.

"You’ve gone from no arrests to facing 40 years in prison," Judd said. "How does it feel to be an accessory to the murder of a kid, a 21-year-old kid? You don’t want to tell us about the murder. You don’t want to tell us where Ethan is, you can sit your butt in jail."

[...]

Judd said detectives are looking for a 2000 Lexus 400 that Page owned. He described it as having extremely dark windows, a sunroof and the Florida tag CC02IL. He said the car was last seen on May 13 going eastbound on I-4 in the Lakeland area.

"If it’s in your backyard, and you call Crime Stoppers and say, ‘Hey, come and get it.’ That’s all we want. But, if you mess around until we find it in your backyard, or you mess around until we find you moving it after listening to the social media today, we’re going to be on you like a cheap JCPenney’s suit."

On Monday, deputies arrested Crystal Droweingo, 24, and Autumn Lee Thomas, 25. Both have been charged with making a false report to law enforcement officers and accessory after the fact of a capital felony in connection to the case.

On Wednesday, Judd announced that both men have now been charged with first-degree murder, although Fussell’s body has not been located.

"We have found video evidence of them beating Ethan," Judd explained. "We found video evidence that Ethan was beaten severely."

"In the affidavit, there's a witness who indicates that the defendant made firsthand statements to them that he actually participated and would be the primary aggressor of the murder of the victim," said the detective.

The detective also testified that Page, before his arrest, was planning on leaving the country along with Rivera.

"We need help," Judd said several times during a news conference Wednesday. To incentivize people to come forward, Heartland Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information about the whereabouts of suspected killer 25-year-old Talon Page's car.

Polk County detectives say they confirmed that Droweingo and Thomas were at Page’s residence on Driggers Road the night that Fussell disappeared. Thomas had reportedly lied about being there and had even contacted others, telling them to lie to detectives and helping Page avoid capture by letting him know that the sheriff’s office was looking for him. Droweingo on the other hand told detectives that she was asleep when Page and Rivera allegedly killed Fussell, otherwise aiding in the coverup by continually lying to investigators, according to the sheriff’s office.

…detectives said, adding the video also showed that Droweingo was not asleep during the time frame. The video was timestamped just 18 minutes after Fussell’s last text to his girlfriend, in which he stated he was going to sleep at Page’s residence, the sheriff’s office

The Cars has been recovered , oddly enough someone drove it to a police substation. why would you do that? Like if somebody left their car at my house and then I realized it was involved with a crime I would not get in it and drive it anywhere.
