I am watching this case right now and am appalled , absolutely disgusted with the cowardice of the Palm Beach police. They knew she did it and they had plenty of circumstantial evidence to put the biotch on trial when the crime occurred-- like so many prosecutors, unless they are assured of a win- they won't try the perp. It took them 20+ years to bring get her azz in jail. Cases like this make me sick.

Here’s why a judge refused to free the woman accused of being a ‘killer clown’

Sheila Keen Warren will remain locked up in jail before her trial this year on allegations that she wore a clown costume while fatally shooting a woman 31 years ago in South Florida.

In a order released Friday, Palm Beach County Circuit Judge Scott Suskauer denied bond for Warren in the high-profile killer clown case. He found prosecutors have enough evidence to persuade a jury to convict her on a first-degree murder charge, despite defense arguments that the “evidence is almost entirely circumstantial” and the clown was a man.

Suskauer also agreed with the prosecution that it’s too risky to free Warren because she has the money to flee to a country without an extradition treaty with the United States.

The trial is scheduled to begin with jury selection Sept. 8.

Sheila Keen-Warren is accused of dressing up as a clown and killing Marlene Warren, the wife of the man she'd eventually marry, in 1990.

The case went cold until investigators reopened the case. Evidence led authorities to Sheila Warren in Virginia in 2017 where they arrested her.

After being postponed a number of times, the new trial date is set for October 21. A hearing is slated for July 12.

'Killer Clown Case' jury trial pushed back after 'Clown Sighting File' found

What was supposed to be the start of a jury trial next week in the "Killer Clown Case" has been pushed back after a lost file was found by the state.

Defense attorneys also are seeking sanctions against prosecutors for what they say are instances of failing to disclose evidence to the defendant and are asking that Keen Warren be allowed pre-trial release from jail.
