Why drag Megan and the kids into this and kill them. Why not just disappear. He'd eventually be found but at least he would not be humiliated with his loving family by his side and he would spare them the humliation too.

My guess is that he was a controlling man and he thought he may get away with it ??

Also, he did not give them Benadryl to go gently into that good night. He gave them Benadryl just to put them to sleep so he could stab them without them fighting back. (Based on the dosages from the autopsy report.)

I do think based on his horrible disgusting bloated appearance that he may have been binge drinking or perhaps afterwards in an alcoholic blackout. It would help explain why he didn't get rid of the bodies. He's just so gross.

Odd quote. I take it to mean he spared her from living with his crimes (i.e. single parenting, embarrassment of his fraud crimes and his eventual imprisonment), took her life in love to shield her and them from all of this.

I don't necessarily believe that he's going to blame her, but we'll see. I think he's going to go with temporary insanity, if there is such a thing.

I'm super confused, though. He's saying he was at the condo they owned down the street looking for a mickey mouse necklace and fell asleep? But has no recollection past that? No recollection for weeks??? Just walking around in a stupor? Not buying any of that bs.

That's what family annihilators do. The shame of the crime (whatever it is - money problems, criminal problems, affairs, etc) is greater than the shame of killing the whole family. It does not make rational sense.

Some have commented that he'd gained excessive weight within the year +.

I'm glad you brought this up, because I've decided, based partially on this, that there's no way Megan was in the dark to everything that was going on...Business, family, finances.

CELEBRATION FAMILY MURDERS: I just received the toxicology results for Megan, Alek, Tyler, and Zoe Todt. Investigators say their husband/father Anthony Todt confessed to killing them in their celebration home sometime around Christmas. Their bodies were found in January.

Megan - 5.02 mg/kg of diphenhydramine (Benadryl)
Alek - 6.687 mg/kg of diphenhydramine (Benadryl)
Tyler - 10.362 mg/kg of diphenhydramine (Benadryl)
Zoe - 2.724 mg/kg of diphenhydramine (Benadryl)

According to a local nurse, the converted Benadryl doses per each person’s body weight:

Megan - 235 mg
Alek - 267 mg
Tyler - 383 mg
Zoe - 37 mg

When officers arrested Anthony Todt, they say he downed Benadryl to harm himself and had to be hospitalized for a few days. Remember, the autopsies showed Megan was also stabbed twice, Alek was stabbed once, and Tyler was stabbed once. The medical examiner has not given his opinion on the cause of death yet. That is expected soon. I'll be speaking with the ME's office again in the morning and will update you as soon as I know more.

That may not have been a fatal dose of Benadryl, I don't know. I need to look back because i cant remember if the stab wounds were pre or postmortem.

1. According to the autopsies, the slaughter was carried out shortly after New Year's Day 2020, but the victims' rotting bodies were not found until two weeks later.

2. At the time they were found, both boys were said to be wearing their rosaries.
(Also Tony).

**Definite religious undertones.

3. Autopsy reports showed that Megan was stabbed twice in the stomach either before or during her death based on there being blood in her abdomen, the report said.

**Was she resisting?

4. Alek and Tyler both had single stab wounds to the stomach but did not have any blood inside their abdomens unlike their mother.

**Does this indicate that they were stabbed after death?

5. In all three, the autopsy did not point to the stabbings as the clear cause of death.

**Odd. Is cause of death undetermined in these, then?

6. Four-year-old Zoe had no evidence of trauma to her body, the report said, but homicidal violence and Benadryl were still listed as cause of death.

7. He went on to say that on 'the night everything happened,' he fell asleep searching the condo for a silver Mickey Mouse necklace that his daughter, Zoe, wanted.

Todt said that after failing to locate the trinket in the jewelry box, he dozed off 'and let’s just leave it at that.'

**That's chilling. Let's just leave it at that. I think it's more likely that Tony drugged his family and went to the condo to wait things out. Returned home to see that Zoe was dead, but Megan was laboring, so he stabbed her twice. Then stabbed his sons once each to make sure they were dead, which with no blood in their abdomens, they were already dead?

I remember reading that one of the sons put up a fight...perhaps reporting an early LE theory? Anyone else remember this?

That's a really good point. He had weird marks on his chest, too. One looked like a needle prick.

I'm still shocked that the coroner believes they were killed New Years Day or shortly after. Only two weeks in the home, but the boys' bodies were black in decomp. What were they all doing from Christmas through New Years Eve that NOBODY saw them?

Really makes me wonder what the parents discussed during this long week. And the kids had already taken on a shut-in role. Very strange.

Not that I am in any way defending him, but people tend to "block out" traumatic events. Whether he planned to kill them (which I think he did in some respect MOO) or "just snapped", killing another person is still really crazy and traumatic for our brains and can cause time lapses and all sorts of stuff.

*Pretrial Hearing (@ 9am ET) – FL – Megan Denise Gula Todt (42), Aleksander (13), Tyler (11), Zoe (4) & dog Brezzy (last heard from Jan. 6, 2020, Celebration; found Jan. 13, 2020; LE believe they have been dead since Dec. 29, 2019) - *Anthony John Todt (44) arrested (1/15/20), charged (1/16/20), indicted (2/25/20) & arraigned (2/28/20) with 4 counts of premeditated murder & 1 count of animal cruelty. Charges changed (1/29/20) & arraigned (2/28/20) with 4 counts of 2nd degree murder & animal cruelty charge dismissed. Plead not guilty. Held without bond. DA will seek DP.
Confessed to the murders; he took Benedryl in attempted suicide (1/13/20) & taken to hospital, released to LE on 1/15/20. Was under federal investigation for health care fraud, had been evicted from his offices in Connecticut, and faced eviction from his Celebration, Florida, home for failing to make his monthly $5,000 mortgage payment. Sheriff’s deputies serving a warrant on the fraud charges found the bodies. Was arrested (1/13/20) by Federal agents for fraud & then bodies were discovered, Osceola County arrested him on 1/15/20. Autopsies show they’d been stabbed and had large amounts of Benadryl in their bodies.
Trial was set to begin on 4/27/20 has been rescheduled to 6/1/20 and has been cancelled due to coronavirus. No further dates available.
1/15/20: ORDER granting 5 Motion to Unseal Case-granted. 1/16/20: Initial appearance in court. Appointed public defender. 1/21/20: News media's motion to intervene for the limited purpose of opposing Closure of Judicial Records. Next hearing (Add On) on 1/24/20.
1/24/20: Media’s motion to unseal Judicial Records-granted. Todt, who is being represented by a public defender, had his first court appearance Thursday afternoon in Osceola County & did not enter a plea. The judge found probable cause for the charges against Todt. The judge did not set another court date. Todt is being held without bail. Court site says hearing was cancelled. Add On Hearing continued to 2/6 to set arraignment date.
1/29/20 Update: Charges have been changed to 4 counts of 2nd degree murder & cruelty to animal is dismissed. 1/30/20: Written plea of not guilty & waiver of arraignment hearing on 2/6/20. 2/6/20: Hearing waived. 2/25/20: Indictment issued that DA will seek the DP. Next arraignment hearing 3/12. Then a pretrial hearing on 4/15 & trial is set for 4/27/20.
2/28/20 Update: Waived arraignment hearing; written plea of not guilty to all charges. Next pretrial hearing on 4/15. 4/14/20: Pretrial hearing on 4/15 has been rescheduled to 5/13 due to the coronavirus. Trial on 4/27 has been rescheduled to 6/1.
5/8/20 Update: Pretrial hearing on 5/13 & trial set for 6/1 have been cancelled due to the coronavirus & will be reset by the Court. Next hearing on 6/16/20.
