Guess he changed his mind about the plea deal....
Hello - I shall be leaving on a Holiday to California!! And won't be around WS for at least 2 weeks (9/18 thru 10/2). So am going to post the hearing/trial that is coming up while I am gone. Please keep 'good' notes while I'm gone! LOL! I will definitely be way behind on all my cases I'm following.... but will try & peek in mid-way thru my vacation.

Since he has a 7/9 status hearing & trial was supposed to start on 6/15 - I'm going to guess he got a trial continuance...... again....

Miami mother pleads guilty to torture-murder of adopted daughter Nubia Barahona
This will frustrate me to no end if Carmen Barahona gets a "Hedda Nussbaum" pass.
I don't know "what" Nussbaum got - but here is Carmen's deal:
Plea deal gives her a life prison sentence in exchange for testimony against her husband. Sentencing has been deferred until she testifies against her husband as agreed. If she fails in this agreement, she will be facing a sentencing hearing before a jury.
Is that Carmen's info that you posted there?
I fear that in 25/30 the capital punishment won't exist anymore in this country ( and maybe worldwide...)No, sorry, should have made that more clear, that information is from the Miami Dade county jail regarding Jorge Barahona. I couldn't access the court information.
This case just makes me angry. It is clear that the Barahona's have manipulated the judicial system and process to delay this as long as possible. Why even bother with the death penalty? This guy will string that out another 25 or 30 years.
