PBSO releases new information on June 2014 murder of Susan Roberts

Last year, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s detectives thought Susan Roberts never made it home the night before her lifeless body was found in a nearby trailer park.

Newly released security footage shows otherwise.

Thursday PBSO investigators released video that shows the 56-year-old woman’s beige 2009 Lexus enter the Lexington Estates gated community in west Boca Raton where she lived and then speed out of the community four minutes later for unknown reasons. The next day, her body was found in the same car less than a mile away.

Though investigators initially said she never made it home, security footage around 11 p.m. shows her vehicle entering and then quickly leave the gated community, just west of 441 and south of west Palmetto Park Road. Investigators said they were not able to confirm if she was the one driving out of the community in the car.

Hmmm.
Who did she see and what did she see?
When she was found in the vehicle, what seat was she in? Drivers? Passenger? Rear seat? Trunk?
Had the drivers seat been adjusted for a different sized person?

Around 1:30 p.m. the next day, her husband Terri Hemings reported her missing to authorities, investigators said at a news conference last year. Her body was later found inside her SUV in Watergate Mobile Home Park, about a mile from her home in west Boca Raton.

If you're quick enough you can snip this before the pay wall appears. The timeline is quite suspicious for the husband to claim innocence. JMO

NEW: Who killed Susan Roberts? PBSO seeks tips in phamacist's slaying

It’s been three years since a pharmacist was found dead in her SUV a mile from her home west of Boca Raton, and investigators and relatives are still searching for answers.

Susan Roberts, 56, left her job at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach on the night of June 8, 2014 and drove south to her home in the Lexington Estates community in the Boca Raton area, west of U.S. 441 and south of West Palmetto Park Road.

Four minutes later, Roberts’ beige Lexus SUV was captured on video leaving the gated community again. The following day, her husband called to report her missing. She was found dead in the SUV in a nearby trailer park, the Watergate Mobile Home Park on Sandalfoot Boulevard.

Detectives with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office have been tight-lipped about several aspects of the case, including whether Roberts’ husband was in the house at the time that she returned home.
