MCCLEARY — Police are asking the public’s assistance in locating a 10-year-old McCleary girl who did not return home Friday night from a visit with a friend.
“I just need my daughter home,” said Melissa Baum, mother of Lindsey Baum. “Lindsey, please come home, you’re not in trouble.”
Lindsey Baum was wearing a hooded sweatshirt that was either gray or blue, jeans and black sneakers, was walking from her friend’s house on Maple Street to her own home on Mommsen Road, a four-block distance, and was last seen at about 9:15 p.m., said Sgt. Ed Patrick with the Grays Harbor Sheriffs Office.
Baum’s mother called the McCleary Police Department at 10:50 p.m., having waited in case her daughter had stopped to talk to her friend or otherwise dawdled, Patrick said.

Wow, so if this guy can be linked to the area outside of Ellensburg that would be huge. Wonder what kind of vehicle he drove back then?

I pray for Melissa every single day, actually she crosses my mind multiple times each day.

Lindsey stole my heart, my dear baby girl is her age, we too live in a small town of just over 3000 with one stop light in town. Our life changed when Lindsey was taken, we became more aware of our false security living in a small town.

With every milestone my daughter achieved I celebrated for Lindsey too, each birthday, graduation and the blessing of my grand baby, Lindsey was in our hearts.I hope justice comes soon, it’s been far far too long.

Not sure how accurate this site is but it lists 4 vehicles that he has owned. You have to scroll almost to the end of the page to find them.
The most recent listed is a 2000 Jeep Cherokee. Lindsey was found off of some rugged roads and a Jeep would be capable of being on rugged roads.

Does anyone know if Lindsey played soccer?

He worked in youth soccer leagues.

Grays Harbor Sheriff Rick Scott said Bieker is a father and worked in youth soccer leagues when he lived in Grays Harbor County. He was living in Enumclaw at the time of his arrest.

A quick check if Lindsey played soccer and she had played it.

Tables in the church foyer were lined with photos of Lindsey Baum, from when she was a baby up to age 10. There she was in a cowboy hat, in her soccer team uniform, on the playground, with a toy guitar.

Thanks, I was thinking of that vehicle on the gas station video that to my knowledge had never been identified. I doubt the vehicles listed are from 2009 though. But LE could find that out.

There are a few comments, on the Justice for Lindsey fb page, from people who said that PB coached their daughters. If he had been Lindsey’s coach, someone probably would have mentioned that by now. It still increases the odds that she knew him, since it is a small town, and his kids may have been close to her age.

This is a great victory for the women who was brutally assaulted 18 yrs ago. I pray this finally gives her some peace after all this time.

I am so grateful that one child raping monster is off the streets. It has come to my attention Paul J. Bieker coached the youth in the Elma/McCleary area. Please take this as an opportunity to talk to your children about grooming and inappropriate behavior from coaches, teachers, and other adults in authority.

As far as Lindsey’s case is concerned this is still an active and open investigation. Paul Bieker has NOT been charged with anything related to Lindsey at this time. Still no definite answers 12 years later.

All tips are highly and strongly encouraged whether they pertain to to this current SUSPECT or someone else. Someone knows what happened the evening of June 26, 2009.
