momt..if he is going to school or work he can also apply for one through his local independent living office (this is what they do), and sometimes also vocational rehab. His local social services, caseworker, or rehab specialist can help them figure out where the resources are. My son and I are both chair users.

My sister, whom is a 75 year old female, widow could also use one of these. Her diabetes, heart medications are more than her SS checks .
