Ga - Gwinnett Co, Female, 20-30, In Vacant Mall Space, Dec'17 - Silling Man *arrest*

I don't see anything about this UID being Asian and the sketch doesn't look Asian to me. Perhaps you are confusing her with the other Gwinnett county UID found in the suitcase? That article posted by Romulus above is a different UID found in the same county as this one.

The sketch looks like she could be part Asian to me.

Ok, I see where it is mentioned in this article the UID IS Asian:
The woman is described as an Asian female between the ages of 20 and 30. She stands about five feet tall and weighs about 100 pounds and was wearing a mesh style jumpsuit with black tennis shoes.

Apologies, as I didn't see that in the other articles posted. Weird, the other woman found in a suitcase Gwinnett County was ALSO Asian. Is there are large Asian population in Gwinnett County?

ETA: Answering, my own question. Apparently, yes. Gwinnett County has become a big draw for Korean-Americans in recent years: http://www.gwinnettdailypost.com/lo...cle_02338702-b0a7-56af-9dbd-355df0fd17ac.html

When I searched specifically for "asian" missing women, I didn't get very many hits for 2016-17 and most were from the west coast and didn't fit the height and weight parameters. If it is a tight knit Korean-American community and the victims are from it, I wouldn't expect these UIDs to remain unidentified.

How about Tien Ly, Missing from Ellenwood, GA:

Facially looks like a good possibility and geographically a good possibility - weight seems pretty far off (150 lbs vs UID estimate of 100 lbs) and her thread mentions mental illness and that she only wore white shorts- so a black mesh jumpsuit doesn't seem likely (also based on age- but style of dress is highly personal). I have only ever submit names via the doe network site - not directly to the agencies. I would think more suggestions is better and they have the expertise to rule them out or discard tips.

The UID sketch reminds me of Cecilia Bustamante: https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/show/36737
But I think that Cecilia was likely a victim of foul play when she went missing (JMO). Her thread here: http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...cilia-Bustamante-42-Atlanta-28-Oct-2016/page2

It also seems like a long time frame unless the body was moved. My instinct would be that this UID went missing between Sept'17 and Dec '17. If the custodians come thru regularly, it seems likely the body was discovered reasonably quickly. Of course if it is someone who went missing in a human traffic'ing situation, they could definitely have been missing for a lot longer.

Yes, my thinking in looking at older missing cases would be that they would have to have been held captive by someone OR were possibly homeless (A mentally ill person or someone with a drug problem could live on the streets for a few months or sometimes years) OR perhaps someone who left home to go into hiding/start a new life (victim of domestic violence, runaway older teen/foster teen who aged out of the system and has no family to help them), etc. In the above suggestion of Tien Ly, even though what she was wearing when she went missing doesn't match, it could still be her. I can't imagine a woman missing only wearing shorts could go very long in a public space before being noticed but she could have gotten more clothes immediately after leaving. She might have had help or a bag stashed somewhere or even stolen clothes from a nearby house if she found an open door. That said, I agree Tien's weight is too far off and she would have to live on the street longer than just a couple months to get down to 100 pounds. The UID was a tiny women. So far I think Amy is the best possible match (even though she is not Asian). That mesh top in that photo really is a huge coincidence.

Does anyone have an indication of how low long the body was there? I’d imagine that with the holiday shopping the security and/or maintenance would have passed by there every night/morning when the mall closed up and opened...
so it’s not like she was there for a long time, at someone point it begin to smell...

it seems like such a odd place to leave someone like that....

I wonder if the mall had cameras anywhere near by? Maybe one of the larger stores had surveillance ?

How long was the restaurant space vacant for? If they get a time frame of her being there can't they look at surveillance footage?

this is one of the weirdest cases ever... if the spot was vacant someone had to have put her there.. so did they kill her in the mall and put her back there? I don't imagine she was decomposing, you'd think in a mall someone would have smelt something? Maybe since there are no signs of trauma she went back there herself and took her own life, for some reason? Also a mesh jumpsuit sounds weird to me, sounds like club clothing, not regular mall shopping clothes

I agree, this is where I wish clothing was more descriptive with Doe's clothing. I wish it was almost protocol to take pictures of the clothing itself.

When I first read mesh jumpsuit I thought it was a fishnet body suit like intimate wear. It could even be a regular wind breaker/ jogging suit with mesh material..

I think people are more visual and most people wouldn't be able to even visualize a description of the clothing they wore yesterday if they read it.

When they're talking mesh bodysuits, I would think they're referring to something similar to these (potentially NSFW): https://www.honeybum.com/collections/bodysuits
You would have to wonder whether this UID was wearing pants if that's the case.

The original article actually says "Jumpsuit", not "bodysuit". Although some people might use those terms interchangeably. It could be something more conservative like this: http://www.lordandtaylor.com/main/P...Vm1YNCh0hCghxEAQYBCABEgIzKfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Or it could be the more racy clubbing style. Jumpsuits have come back in style recently so there seem to be a large variety in styles.

She looks like a very strong possibility - and her height/weight are in the correct range. From the story posted, she was hanging out with elements who would likely traffic her and that could definitely explain how she ended up as the UID. I would submit this as a tip if you haven't already.

The mall is pretty much abandoned. There are a few stores but it isn’t a mall that has a lot of traffic. I don’t think there is actually anything in the food court anymore. There has been talk of revitalization but many speculate it will be torn down. I can completely see how a body could be there a while and not noticed. The food court is actually in an area that branches off from the main area and I don’t know that anything is open in that entire section.

It has been years since that was at almost-full capacity. The food court has probably been empty for several years.
