A man has been charged with two counts of murder in the killing his estranged wife and teenage stepdaughter, Baldwin County Sheriff Bill Massee said.

Brian Duane Brookings, 33, has also been charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Suzanne McDade Brookings, 44, and her daughter, Samantha Giles, 14, were found with multiple gunshot wounds in their front yard Friday afternoon, Massee said.

Spires said Brookings had been released from the Baldwin County jail earlier in the week after an arrest on theft charges relating to stolen four-wheelers. Upon his release, Brookings was ordered to stay away from his wife as a condition of his bond.

Appears that conditions of bond are about as effective as retraining orders, THEY DON'T WORK.

Shameful that these types are enabled to create more innocent victims. When is this insanity going to stop?
