SEARCH INTENSIFIES FOR 11-YEAR-OLD COLORADO BOY GANNON STAUCH MISSING FOR MORE THAN A WEEK

Updated an hour ago
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The search has intensified for an 11-year-old boy in Colorado who has been missing for more than a week.

The FBI is assisting multiple agencies and volunteers in searching for Gannon Stauch.

"I'm begging, I'm pleading, if anybody has any type of lead, put yourself in my situation," his mother, Landen Hiott, said.

She begged everyone to stay vigilant, as Gannon requires special medication.

His stepmother, Letecia "Tecia" Stauch, was the last one to see him on Jan. 27 when he left to walk to a friend's house.

However, neighbor Rockerick Drayton said he searched through his home surveillance video as the search intensified. Drayton said the video showed Letecia and Gannon Strauch get into a red pickup truck in the driveway of their home around 10:15 a.m. About four hours later, the truck returns to the house and Leticia Strauch gets out of the vehicle alone.

Drayton said the video shows the stepmother getting into a red pickup truck parked in the driveway of their Colorado Springs home. The footage also appears to show Gannon walking slowly as he approaches and gets into the truck, Drayton said.

"I caught Gannon getting into her vehicle at 10:13 Monday morning," Drayton said. He said the video shows the truck returning to the house at 2:19 p.m. but Gannon is nowhere to be seen.

Search For Gannon Stauch: Investigators Ask Neighbors To Check Security Video

"Investigators in El Paso County are asking neighbors of missing 11-year-old Gannon Stauch to check their security camera video for possible clues. The little boy’s stepmother reported that he was last seen between 3 and 4 p.m. Jan. 27. But in a news conference on Tuesday, investigators asked neighbors to also review security footage in the days leading up to that time.

“If you live in the neighborhood and have a video camera, please look back… to see if there’s any video from before Gannon went missing,” said El Paso County Sgt. Deborah Mynatt.

On Monday, Roderrick Drayton, a neighbor of Stauch’s, shared surveillance video from his home that captured footage of what he says shows Stauch and his stepmother, Leticia Stauch, getting into a red truck in the driveway of their Colorado Springs home on Monday, Jan. 27 – the day the boy went missing. The video later, Drayton said, shows the truck returning hours later but with only the stepmother appearing to get out.

Drayton told Denver7 he went back to review his surveillance camera video from that day as the search for Stauch intensified over the past week.

“I just kind of backtracked from Saturday to Monday, and that’s when I caught some information,” he said.

ABC News reported Tuesday that a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office did not dispute Drayton’s account of what the video showed but said it was just a piece in the investigation.
