Gilgo Beach serial killer suspect Rex Heuermann could have ties to Atlantic City, police have said.

Cops are probing whether the 59-year-old Long Island resident operated in the New Jersey area, and have been interviewing jailed sex workers who interacted with him.

'He had reached out to them for sex,' Sheriff Errol Toulon from the Suffolk County police department told Good Morning America about the prostitutes officials have talked to. 'They took the calls but did not meet with him.'

The investigation now covers four states - Heuermann owns a time-share in Las Vegas and a property in South Carolina - and police are investigating if he could be connected to any unsolved killings there.

Glad they are examining all possibilities. For the people w/ better local knowledge, could Atlantic City be a destination for some sort of convention that maybe as an architect he would go? According to articles he did seem to network for his business, and there does seem to be a lot of crossover real estate development between NY & NJ...?
The AC Convention center does hold a yearly AIA (art in architecture) and ABC conventions which attract builders, architects and related crafts people. Not sure what year they started.

Atlantic City would be a great destination for someone who wants to gamble and meet with SW without traveling all the way to Vegas.

In the previous thread, a poster asked if there were any feminine renderings of the GB Asian Doe. I don't think it came from any official channels, but someone on Reddit did post one on the LISK subreddit after RH's arrest. Just an FYI -- I would post / cross post from Reddit, but I am not sure if that is allowed, nor did it come from LE / NAMUS.

Today is the first time I considered the possibility that he may have copied AC4. Maybe, if he didn't do it, maybe he thought he could do it better with his GB4.
I'm not too sure about the AC4. I am torn on it being him or not him. I do think thought, that it would be foolish for LE to not look into it. MOO

One member of our gun club has upwards of 3000 guns (mostly rare Winchester lever actions) in his basement. He's been collecting for more than 50 years.
I see that differently than I do RH's collection. MOO

For those who may have missed this (like me) bit of information:

  • Some other points from sheriff about life in jail: -Rex is in an isolated cell, not solitary confinement -Two correctional officers monitor him at all times -He's eating normally, no extreme change in behavior -He's on suicide watch -He has had no visitors
  • My report last night on @BanfieldonNN about the movement of police vehicles outside #RexHeuermann's home + the latest updates on Rex's behavior while in jail. The Sheriff tells me he sleeps a lot & seems to be reflecting. Rex has a TV but isn't watching the news.

So they are reporting that he has a tv in his cell but he isn't watching the news.

'Detectives in South Carolina are reviewing a near-decade-old missing person case to see whether suspected Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann may have been involved, DailyMail.com can reveal.

Cops in Rock Hill, just 20 miles from where Heuermann bought a wild 18-acre plot of land confirmed they are looking anew at the case of Aaliyah Bell Hall who went missing in 2014.

The news has brought new hope of closure for Aaliyah's family who have had to live without knowing what happened to the pretty 18-year-old, who vanished after leaving her uncle's house on November 25, 2014.''
Another Holiday Week, this would have been the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

In answer to your Qs:
1. Some sort of convention: Absolutely. I've seen it frequently in the business demographic here.
2. NY & NJ & CT, known as the Northeast Tri-State area commonly networks for business, as these three locations are easily drivable for any appointment.
3. Currently there is one Casino on Long Island. Jake's 58, located on the service road of the Long Island Expressway. But honestly, I don't see NYC business men, and not even Long Island business men spending much time there. I wouldn't call it a real casino. EVERYTHING in it is video, even card games, roulette, and craps (where's the fun in that? LOL).
I remember reading that I believe one of his burner phones pinged in Islandia, Long Island near the LIE service road way back when and I thought maybe he had been at Jakes 58 casino, it’s right near there, but Jakes didn’t open until 2017. I do think RH is a gambler and frequented AC & LV, but I don’t know how much he would have bothered with Jakes. It’s not like a “traditional” casino wherein they don’t have classic table games.

Yeah, I don't think it could have been Jake's, but what I do think is that it was near the Holiday Inn Express, located at 2050 Express Drive South in Hauppauge, where Megan was last seen. That LIE Hauppauge area is borderline Central Islip/Islandia. Central Islip/Islandia--same zip code, just some bougie people wanting a town name not associated with Central Islip.

There were a two different architecture & building-related conventions in Atlantic City in 2006:

- There was a Building Safety Convention in Atlantic City in the spring of 2006
- The 57th Annual Atlantic Builder's Convention, one of the largest in the northeast, was held from April 26 to April 28, 2006.

Would his wife know when the conventions are? Or a business meeting? Likely not. He could say what he wanted and drive to AC, no need for an actual convention, imo.

I can see him changing up his game and having ocd kind of rituals that change as he goes..perhaps even intentional staging to throw off police . The victims face down in water could be because there was no good spot to hide them.. just thoughts..the fact there are 4 is very interesting. mOO
