GK's convoluted theory... what's yours? Please share!

I wonder if RC "knew" that the coat had been in the woods for a while because JMB told him (per GG). The confusion and ambiguity in this case never ends!

I always thought that RC knew the coat was there because he (or someone; some other kid/searcher/etc.) had seen it there before the murders. This was a very popular spot, and I'm sure someone had seen it there before.

I don't know, to me, there's nothing suspicious about this coat at all.

^ This guy has always interested me. Do you know exactly where his camp was located? I'm imagining it was near the Devil's Den part of Robin Hood, and not the Blue Beacon Woods.

Some witnesses overheard the boys saying they were going to go to their secret hideout/clubhouse that day, and I always wondered if perhaps they had a tent that they went to there. Moreover, perhaps it was a tent that they had discovered -- that was already there -- that they had found unoccupied at the time; but upon this day, the camper discovered them in his tent. This is extremely far-fetched; I'm just throwing it out there. If the killer was living in the woods, and he committed this crime, he obviously would leave this area immediately; it's not like he'd have anything to keep him around if he's homeless.

Userid, there is absolutely no information on John Witner except for the samples that were tested. He dissapeared from the face of the West Memphis earth, just like the mysterious Mr. Bojangles. Obviously, it seems he was still present in the woods at the time of the murders, otherwise, why samples? I am surprised there is no statement concerning the 5th & 6th of May.

I wonder if the sack of clothing found in the woods was Witner's.

CR, I take it you mean this sack of clothes described as E-1A

http://www.jivepuppi.com/evidence_at_the_crime_scene.html

My initial thoughts a while ago, were that this bag of clothes might have belonged to "Mr Bojangles" I scrapped this supposition after reading this:

Numerous Caucasian hairs of unknown origin were recovered from BR1. [BR1 is listed as one pair of blue jeans, one black thermal undershirt, one pair of white socks, two "Bic" razors, one plastic bag, and one tan short-sleeved shirt.]

http://www.jivepuppi.com/evidence_findings.html

It's quite possible that it could have belonged to John Witner, the only problem I see is that John Witner was described as having a long beard. Although I wouldn't rule it out, but would he have BIC razors ?

Ha ha! Maybe to shave chest hair?

Seriously, it doesn't make much sense for it to be Witner's but still possible, I guess. I've been looking though the lab tests recently (including the post-conviction ones). Maybe I'll find something there. If so, I'll post a link.

GK, Coffee, very nice!!! MASSAGE!, no kinky stuff please, let's keep it platonic.:slap:

Cher.... the massage is in the chair!!! I don't have enough strength to give a massage. But I do have a heated chair with built-in massage... so platonic it is...

It's possible. I have a full beard, but I do shave some parts of it. I have razors for that purpose. And it's cheaper to buy in bulk (10 to a bag) than one by one... just say'n.

CR, you were the last person I was expecting to get kinky round here.:blushing: What sort of fellah would shave his chest hairs, I'm so proud of both of mine, and they took a long time to grow, I can tell ya! Yes I think GK's convolution chamber is having an effect on us all. Maybe Mr. Witner shaved his legs. Whatever he did with those BIC razors, his ears must be burning somewhat now. Anyhow, I suggest we all chip in and buy GK a 10 pack, and while he is busy shaving, we all sneak out the convolution chamber, and GK can put it back on the rails when we've gone.

Beam me up Scotty!:ufo:

Cher, I have my moments! Sometimes I think this case will eventually drive me totally insane!

Me too!

One Last word on John Witner. CR you appear to be right, looking at this evidence submission sheet again, it says: "Pair of pants and pull over shirt "in bag" worn by above suspect". Would the "in bag" make any sort of sense otherwise?

EDIT: Just found this too, notice that the bag, and the Witner clothes are listed directly after one another. E-1A and E-1B

Yep. The wmpd duplicated numbers so often. The Arkansas State Crime Lab tried to "clean it up" but sometimes simply compounded the confusion!

I am GK's son. He made me promise I would wait until I graduated university before joining WebSleuths. It has taken me this long, but I hope to make him proud. I will have to check out this subject and hopefully have some fresh insights soon.
