Traffic cop and Family Liason Officer Jon Duckham had the terrible task of preparing a toddler's family for the worst, after he found the 2 year-old pinned and crushed under the wheels of a vehicle in 2007.
Little Amy Samuels wasn't giving up though - as docs prepared to turn off her life support, she started breathing on her own. This week, Jon became a proud Godfather to that same toddler, now 8 years old. He has become close friends and supported the family ever since the accident and I think Mrs Samuel's tribute on the official West Mids police FB page says it all. What a lovely man.
