The jury did the hard work and put together the trail left behind from all the phone records, witness testimony, and put that with the venom and lies spewed from the defendant, and managed to come to a unanimous verdict. I like!
 
Re: the previous discussion on the last thread about PTL - From my perspective, too many moving parts before PTL for it to make sense that Heather was dating/doing dinner, posting on social media, making repeated phone calls, driving all over, turning around, sitting in her car, driving more, etc, then being kidnapped and murdered in minutes and her body almost magically vaporized.

Not enough moving parts from PTL onward, with the M's heading back toward their home after a fleeting kidnapping/murder/phone toss, body disposal, then the trail ends.

I had said way back that the state jumped on the PTL scenario wagon and had everything happening there because it's where the car landed and the ping happened. But the fact is, there's no evidence of a crime there or at the M's home. That's why they had to axe the murder charge, however temporarily.

The LB info, if I understand correctly, wasn't known to LE at the time of the arrest. It seems they are stuck with a PTL story whether it makes sense or not, because they can't theorize what happened after the car/truck went there, and they didn't know about LB's and the driving around/dumpster parking/circling stuff soon enough. JMO

BBM A perfect example of the Tammy Moorer modus operandi- create chaos and confusion over here while doing this over there. We watched her do that from the first moment she was known to us. So very sorry that Heather ever encountered such a vile person.
 
I think someone already said they never saw pings FRO M HE fell phone at PTL before that dreadful night but it really wouldn't surprise me if HE would meet SM in desolate locations and hop from her car to his truck.

~1:15 -1:30 am – SS dropped HE off at her apartment were he stayed for 5 minutes, said HE didn't answer any calls during their date, she was in a good mood but tired, not crying or upset.
1:35 am – HE receives a call from SM; call was placed from a payphone & lasts 4.83 minutes (payphone at Kangaroo gas station on Seaboard Street and Mr. Joe White Avenue)
1:44 am – From her apartment, Heather called her roommate BW, who was in Florida, and spoke for 2.2 minutes; was crying and upset after the call from SM because she was trying to get her life back together after her affair with him and harassment by TM.
1:53 – 2:09 am – 10 posts are made to HE’s Tumblr account
2:29am: Heather tried to call SM back at the pay phone number 9 times, but no one answered. She never had another conversation with anyone.
~2:42 - 2:56 am - HE's phone was pinged at Longbeard's Restaurant, in the Carolina Forest area (according to GPS records). Four additional calls were placed to the pay phone during this time (not sure if that includes the 9 above)
~2:57 - 3:01 am - HE's phone pinged from Longbeard's Restaurant to Augusta Plantation Drive and back (according to GSP records)
~3:02 - 3:15 am - Fifteen GPS records indicated HE's phone was back in the area of Longbeard's. Two more calls were placed to the pay phone.
~3:16 - 3:19 am - HE's phone went from Longbeard's back to her residence. Two calls were placed to the SM's phone.
3:16am: Heather tried to call SM's cell phone, no answer
3:17am: Heather called SM's cell phone and spoke with someone for 4.15 minutes; (Phone pings place HE’s phone at her house & SM’s phone at his house)
~3:20 - 3:24 am - HE's phone remained at her residence.
~3:25 - 3:35 am - HE's phone moved from her residence on White River Drive to the Peachtree Boat Landing.
3:36am: A security camera at a private residence 1.7 miles from the M home recorded a distinctive late-model Ford F150 coming from that direction and heading toward Peachtree Landing
3:37 am - HE's phone was at Peachtree Boat Landing. Four outgoing calls were placed from that phone to SM, but there was no answer
3:39am: A security camera at a business D&S Siteworks 1.2 miles from Peachtree Landing recorded the Ford F150 heading toward the landing
3:41am: All data and GPS signals ended on Heather's phone
3:45am: The security camera at D&S Siteworks recorded the Ford F150 returning from the direction of Peachtree Landing
3:46am: The security camera at the same private residence recorded the Ford F150 returning from the direction of Peachtree Landing toward the M home
3:47 am – Suspicious activity/car report is made @ Atalaya Place, Myrtle Beach SC

SM told LE he hadn't seen Heather since October; after LE confronted him with Heather's phone record, he said he last spoke to her by phone on the 18th and told her to quit calling him

January 8 - 12: Half Marathon Weekend at Walt Disney World
January 11, 2014:
SM participated in a half marathon at Walt Disney World

January 17:
TM posted on Facebook that her husband had had an affair with Heather, and complained that Heather's family members were harassing them

January 19:
Searchers near the Moorer home were threatened with assault and battery by members of TM's family

TM sent text messages saying Belize sounded good, and that she was packing her camper and running to Canada

SM texted his sister-in-law for advice on what to do "with her acting the way she is"; SIL responded that "she needs to get sober."

Great post to make me think! Thank you for putting it together and bumping it.

I really want to follow through with what I'm thinking, but I would need some changes to this timeline. I think there is something to consider as to who had the phone if you change a few things. Who had Heather's phone I mean. That the reason she was posting was because she was waiting for somebody to come to her house. And they did. And they had her phone after that time.

What if the time line was updated at 2:29 a.m. and it is not assumed that Heather's phone was being used by Heather. What if we said Heather's phone was used and Say? By Heather? By Sydney? By Tammy?

And then if we change the time line at 3:20 a.m. to point out that Heather's phone .. who had it, Heather? Sydney, Tammy? And clarified that that phone was never able or did enter her apartment to clarify the timeline, it was only in the parking lot from what we have read. Would that add to anything if we made those changes for clarification?

ETA.. I recognize that was not the scenario by the prosecutor, but I think it perhaps might be more to the truth and the reason they did not point this out is because they did not have proof and it would not have gone over well with the jury? Still scratching my head but I still am wondering about this and have since the very very beginning of it all. The many phone calls back to the Payphone just made me reconsider it might be a cover-up, versus reality of her calling it back herself. Those two are conniving, especially Tammy! And since they did not think that they would be identified as being on the Payphone, it could have even been the boyfriend or somebody else that she was calling back in their mind is to an alibi or pointing it at somebody else. Like the boyfriend she just went out with or something like that.?

ETA #2 again I'm looking at the timeline 4 Tammy supposedly posting about coupons online, and perhaps that was a signal word to post somewhere else online to communicate. I know they did that in the Sievers case. If I recall correctly. They communicated by posting elsewhere online.
 
That timeline brings up more questions for me.... and i do think the state may have other theories but for now is just sticking to what they said until something else comes out.

Has it been stated anywhere that both TM and SM were followed or watched from the 20th on? I remember they said they knew where they were ... but I'm starting to question if they didn't move her somewhere until later not thinking her car would be found that quickly. And was that 5k for someone else to finish something? Or was it part of the money found in the house? I doubt EVERYONE was followed or watched from the 19th on.

I have often wondered the same. Agree that the prosecution is working with what they got. But there's definitely more to the story of what happened that night. At least it was enough to secure a thirty year conviction for Tammy.

In her closing, Nancy said they lured Heather to LB and that Tammy would know how much she hated Heather after she took the pregnancy test. I'd love to know her exact theory, but it sounds to me like she thinks they lured her to LB to pick up the pregnancy test and then Heather went home to do the test. Then Heather called SM with the results (with TM listening in) and he told her to go to the landing.

I agree the disposal was that night. If one does not believe she was not taken at PTL, does that mean the testimony about a picture being shown on the phone was bogus? On the other hand, if one believes that picture on the phone was credible, doesn't that fit the narrative pretty well?

Why would those thoughts be mutually exclusive? We don't know where the picture was taken iirc.

I agree those thoughts aren't mutually exclusive. Just kicking around some thoughts. Since we do not know exactly what the pic showed or where it was taken, it's hard to say. I was just thinking it could have some weight toward what was the end.
 
I have a very vague recollection of TM saying (on the stand) that the State claimed previously that the pregnancy test box was found somewhere else? I don't think I imagined that.
 
So if you take the timeline - and add in the information from the trial about where TM, SM and Heather's phones ping and gps coordinates - how many variations of story are there? Everyone has followed "the story" the M's gave - but what if - what if - when they were at BATB the M's had a fight - what if - they had met another family member there --- what if TM left with the family member and they followed SM? I'm' sure there are dozen of other possibilities - but without being able to see the Google GPS and the Cell ping info - it's hard to really clearly put together alternatives KWIM (their phones went "dark" at some point right? When and who's phone suddenly showed at their house and at what time?) They are there though... What possibilities are there if we only use, as the amazing NL said - the information the M's couldn't manipulate or explain away their way? (btw - did anyone notice when AC testified she said she had no idea what UTC time was - but then a couple minutes later was able to explain how to correctly get the actual time? How do you not know what it is - but know how to calculate it?)

Yes she said something like “well it wasn’t there during SMs trial” or something like that. She was, in my opinion, trying to say they planted that evidence or made it up since there was no picture of said pregnancy test.

Because SM turned off his telephone off right before calling Heather from the payphone that shows culpability in his part in addition to removing the GPS Sim card from the truck and deleting all of the Google history. He was absolutely unequivocally involved. Turning your phone off & on is a deliberate action so it’s not something that accidentally happens. That was an attempt to cover his tracks.
SM will be easier to convict then Tammy was.
