These people are so sick and depraved. It is so scary to know that there are many out there who have not been caught.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The FBI is seeking additional information in connection with the arrest of Robert Pritchett of Buffalo.

“We’re confident that there are other victims out there,” said Buffalo FBI special agent in charge Adam Cohen.

The FBI wants to hear from anyone who may have come in contact with Pritchett, both locally and across the country.

The 20 year-old Pritchett is charged with sex trafficking of minors, and with production, receipt and possession of child *advertiser censored*.
In a rare move the FBI released his photo and a list of profiles that he’s accused of using online.

List of monikers the FBI says Pritchett used:

2 face human trafficking charges in Polk County incident

“There is a lot of money involved in this practice and we see people willing to spend a lot of money to rape a child,” Youth Emergency Services & Shelter CEO Stephen Quirk said. Quirk said he is not surprised by the age of the victim.

"Williams is a convicted sex offender on the Iowa Sex Offender Registry. He is currently being held in the Polk County Jail."

"Williams was previously charged with Indecent exposure in 1996 and Sexual assault in 2001. "

No surprise here that this sicko also has a history of disgusting crimes, most do.

Still though, you will have folks out there who actually believe that these nasty, disgusting, sick in the head MONSTERS, can be " rehabilitated "

I wish the rights of the victim, ( especially CHILD victims ) came before the TWICE convicted REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER, always.

Had this been the case, the FIRST time around, back in 2001?!?!.:furious:

IMO this would have saved this precious 9 year old, and perhaps other innocent victims, a lifetime of pain.:sigh:

Woman in child sex trafficking for heroin gets 51 years to life

"She said she was ashamed that she traded an 11-year-old girl for sex to get heroin, but the judge pointed out that April Corcoran never offered an apology to the child.

“You showed no kind of mercy,” Judge Leslie Ghiz said.

In turn, Ghiz said she’d have no mercy on Corcoran and sentenced her to 51 years to life during her sentencing Tuesday in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court."

Two men are facing a combined 17 charges after a woman was taken from her home in Montreal and forced into the sex trade in Toronto.

Police say the victim, a 19-year-old woman, met one of the suspects through Snapchat in March and then began a relationship with him.

After the pair dated for about a month, police say the man informed the woman that he had spent all of his money on her and that she owed him.

At that point, it is alleged that the man took the woman from Montreal to Toronto, where she was forced to work as an escort at numerous hotels and turn over all of her money.

I will never, EVER, understand how a human being could put another human being through this.😠 Especially a child😔
I know, many perps are typically victims. I know, many victims of traffickers are threatened, strung out, extorted, etc.

I suppose it is one of those issues I can't possibly comprehend, unless I have lived it

I don't know if this has been posted before, but here's a link to articles on the state of HT in Canada (long, older articles, and some links may be defunct, but the summaries paint the picture):

http://gvnet.com/humantrafficking/Canada.htm

One that stood out to me was where it talked about the victims being told they would have a better life in Canada. About 15 years ago, and member (since deceased) of a well-known gang, was talking about (lap) dancers at a Toronto bar. Although he didn't go into specifics, I remember his words (paraphrased) "they have a much better life here than where they came from". :( I wish that person was still alive so I could have found out more information.

More than 25 years later, she vividly recalls turning her first trick: paid to masturbate an old man who so preferred young girls that he’d pay an extra $400 “for the newbie experience.” It was January; she was cold, broke and alone, with few options.

Before long, a madam put her to work, arranging stints in Halifax, Ottawa, Winnipeg and Toronto. By 14, she’d met a “kiddy pimp,” been recruited and was still travelling from city to city.

All the girls she worked with, she says, had a history of sexual abuse, and neglect. Many were in care – “kids that no one wanted” – and many, like her, were indigenous.

The pimp, she recalls, “was every underage girl’s worst nightmare … this guy specifically liked young girls, because he could overpower and manipulate them.”

At times, he would come across like a boyfriend, but then would withhold affection – from someone who had nowhere else to find it. “He knew exactly what types of girls to pick,” she says.

There were threats, such as sending explicit videotapes to a girl’s parents. Or he would “flip out,” she says, and resort to beatings, in some instances, using a “pimp stick” – a coat hanger, unraveled and heated.

Several friends in her circle back then have been killed, and she says she was nearly one of the missing and murdered because of bad dates. “I’ve had many close calls … they would pulverize us.”

She was once among a group of girls (some of them intoxicated and just taken from a Thunder Bay bar) who spent several days servicing the crew aboard a freighter on Lake Superior. Not only was one man, nicknamed Captain Jack, “rough,” she says, the girls were warned that anyone who acted out would be thrown over the side.

There was a time when she would have described herself as being in the trade by choice. But on reflection, she now feels there was no choice. In part because she was recruited so young, “it was never work,” she says, vehemently. “It was abuse.”

"41 arrested in Nashville during "most significant human trafficking operation to date"

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation announced the arrest of 41 people in a three day human trafficking operation.

In a press conference, Agent Margie Quin announced the arrests which included 34 men. In one instance, Quin says a man was arrested, cited and released, where he then went to his car and started to text another undercover agent asking for sex just moments after his arrest.

There certain level of revisionist history that goes on with a lot of these accounts however. I am guessing that most of those accounts are from women from low socio-economic backgrounds who engage in sex work as a survival strategy or because of addiction issues, and now that they have moved on in their lives they are trying to rationalize it. The lower end streetwalkers mostly. Most prostitutes do it because it is an easy way of getting a lot of money for relatively little effort however, there are not that many who are forced into the life. When the choice is making minimum wage for 8 hours of work, or getting a weeks equivalent for an hours effort, it is pretty tempting to do that.

Incidentally the “knock and talks” that some police forces do are not all that popular with the sex workers themselves. Prostitution is legal is Canada, and the tactic is used to harass and intimidate them in the absence of having a legal reason to arrest them.

Someone would choose to have sex with smelly creepy men? Doubt it.

“Human trafficking continues to plague our society and victimize our youth,” the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement.

Eight of the sex-trafficking victims were minors between the ages of 15 and 17, and two were adults, police said. Nine were female and one was male.

Hundreds of child refugees have vanished since arriving in the UK, prompting trafficking and abuse fears
Hundreds of child refugees are missing in the UK, The Independent can reveal, amid fears they have fallen victim to human traffickers or other forms of exploitation such as sexual abuse or modern slavery.

Authorities have no idea of the whereabouts of 360 of the vulnerable children, or even if they are safe. More than 200 have been missing for over two years, prompting serious concerns for their safety.
