Here's a good general article with a lot of details about missing juvenile rates and trafficking rates: In Iowa, 48 juveniles have gone missing in July. Here's why that number may be misleading.

The article goes on to dive into a lot of data and statistics.

“DCSO investigators released the following information from affidavits that documented the alleged crimes.

On April 9, Betts received material that contained a minor engaged in sexual activity.
Between June 1 and July 10, the suspect enticed and encouraged a 16-year-old to have sex for $750. The conversation was conducted with the juvenile on the Tumblr app.
During this same time period, Betts also enticed and encouraged a 14-year-old to have sex for $300. That conversation was also held on Tumblr.
On June 29, Betts asked for and received a digital file of a 14-year-old victim in a state of sexually explicit nudity through the Kik app.
On July 3, Betts enticed and encouraged a 15-year-old to have sex with him for $300 to $400. That conversation was held on the Kik app.
Also on July 3, the suspect asked for and received a digital file for a 14-year-old victim in a state of sexually explicit nudity through Kik. He faces a second charge in this incident.
On July 5, Betts asked for and received a digital file of a 14-year-old in a state of sexually explicit nudity through Kik.
On July 9, Betts encouraged a minor to engage in sexual activity or a state of sexual explicit nudity for the purpose of producing material that contains a visual representation depicting the activity. The suspect did receive a sexual explicit nude image of the victim through Kik. “

She was sadly found deceased two and a half years after she had gone missing. It’s believed that she jumped off an overpass to her death and was ruled non suspicious so sadly a case of suicide. God bless her .

We can put a conclusion to human trafficking by cooperating and actualizing functional arrangements in an expert way. There are various phenomenal associations around the globe who are doing only that.

In the UK, hostile to trafficking association Seek after Equity, have fabricated a national base camp with a multi-disciplinary group of specialists that is blasting at the creases with reasonable experience. Our Lawful Group, Aftercare Group and Crusades Group at Head Office are complimented by our specialists at our first Local Investigative Center point set up in 2013.

Is Vise News a reliable source? Just wondering. I'm sorry but I'm going to call BS on it. Does anybody really think that the US Coast Guard wouldn't be able to stop sex trafficking ships crossing Lake Superior? I need more proof then information from "stories circulating". The story and the original study is propostris. I'll believe it when the Coast Guard intercepts one of these sex trafficking ships filled with Native American women on Lake Superior.

"On the docks of Duluth, Minn., it’s called “working the boats.”

It means working as a prostitute, sometimes shuffling from bunk to bunk, selling sex to sailors on ships working the Great Lakes.

Some prostitutes are as young as 10, fleeing broken homes in the U.S. and Canada. The average age of entry into the sex trade is 14, according to a 2011 report titled Garden of Truth: The Prostitution and Trafficking of Native Women in Minnesota. And a disproportionate number of Great Lakes sex slaves are impoverished First Nations women and girls."

"Federal cabinet ministers say they learned more about the specific safety concerns of indigenous women in northern Ontario — including reports that women have disappeared on ships on Lake Superior — during consultation meetings in Thunder Bay, Ont., on Wednesday.

The consultations are taking place across the country to help shape a national public inquiry into missing and murdered indigenous women.

CBC News first reported on research that First Nations women were being sold into the sex trade on U.S. ships in Lake Superior in 2013."
