MSM from last year, when Freddy went missing:

Saw his mom post to a missing persons Facebook group today and noticed this never got much attention. Here is a little more info:
‪#‎Missing‬ - Fredrick Workman, age 17 (DOB: 5/4/1998), of ‪#‎FAIRFIELD‬, ‪#‎IOWA‬, was living at a youth facility in ‪#‎DESMOINES‬, ‪#‎IA‬ when he disappeared on August 2nd, 2013. Workman's probation officer told the teen he needed to complete his program before he would be able to come home and that may be what trigged Workman to take off. His family has not seen or heard from him since. He might be in the ‪#‎NEWTON‬ area. He's about 5'7" tall, 145 lbs., has short blonde hair and blue eyes. He also has a small scar on the bottom of his chin. He may use the last name Shields. He is ‪#‎ADHD‬/ ‪#‎ODD‬ and requires medication.
Anyone with any information on his location, please contact the Des Moines Police at (515) 283-4811 or 911.
His mom (AS) has recovered custody of him according to her Facebook page, but no other updates.

Hey Vail. Good to see ya.
Thank you for this information, good to know.
I haven't found anything new either about Fredrick Workman. I hope he's safe and where he is, he stays safe and lets his mom know.
Was the probation officer the last to hear from him?
Seems by now Freddy would be 18, I can't seem to find many details on this. Did he take off alone? Who claims to be the last one to see him? Could foul play have happened and there was a cover up? I read somewhere, the family was continually calling the PD for info, and were told to stop calling, or harassment charges would be filed. How can a 15yr old, disappear, and no one follow up? Why is that facility he was at, not held responsible? I'm at a loss.
According to Mom, the tip didn't pan out. I even emailed the chief of police where they are from and never got a response. Gut feeling, they want this swept under the carpet, he was a ward of the state, they should be held responsible. No one is helping his Mom.
