Council Bluffs police are searching for a Nebraska man who was reported missing after traveling to Iowa last month.

Patrick Weber, 56, of Kearney, was reported missing on March 4 after he failed to communicate with his family members or return to his job. Weber had reportedly traveled to Council Bluffs on Feb. 27 and checked into a hotel near Interstate 80 and the South Expressway.

Police are searching for both Weber and his vehicle, a blue 1996 Buick LeSabre with Nebraska license plate 9E7999. The car was last seen on March 6 in Bellevue, parked and unoccupied.

The Council Bluffs Police Department asks anyone with information on Weber to call 712-328-4728.

What was the purpose of Patrick's visit? His car was parked in Bellevue, why would he go there (if it was him that drove)? I hope that he is safe.

Weber had reportedly traveled to Council Bluffs on Feb. 27 ......the car was last seen on March 6 in Bellevue, parked and unoccupied.

From Council Bluffs, it's a 5 hour drive east to Bellevue, 350 miles.

His car was seen in Bellevue 11 days after he left home. Seen by whom? The police themselves?

And if his car was seen in Bellevue, is it still parked in that same place now?

if not, the police can get a trace of his car movements, as surely there must be license plate cameras in NE and IA, even if just in the main cities. They can obtain a general direction of travel...?

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Authorities said Wednesday that a body found in a ditch in northwest Omaha earlier this week was that of a missing Kearney man. Patrick Weber, 56, was last seen in Council Bluffs, but his car had been located near a school in Bellevue.

From the article:

The Sheriff’s Office has been investigating the case as a homicide in conjunction with the Kearney and Council Bluffs police departments.

“Further details will be released on a later date in coordination with all partner agencies,” the DCSO release states.

Two bodies and the remains of a third have all been found over the last seven months along Rainwood Road in northern Douglas County, but authorities have said the cases are not connected.

RIP Patrick

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office and Bellevue police served a search warrant at a residence for Camron Rogers, who was taken into custody for tampering with evidence in relation to the murder of Patrick Weber.

Weber, 56, was identified in March as the body found along Rainwood Road in Omaha, authorities said. He was reported missing by law enforcement on March 4.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office said the missing Buick belonging to Weber was located as well, but it's not clear if Rogers is connected to that.

Rogers was also taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance.

The 24-year-old could face additional charges "pending further investigative efforts," according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
