I'm thinking the same. I think death penalty cases are very costly and often end up in years of appeals.This is just my opinion, but I think it is increasingly unlikely that the prosecutor will seek a death penalty in this case.
I'm sure the prosecution will discuss this option with the families before they make a decision.
