BOUDREAUX: On 11/5/19, police say Melani Boudreaux (not yet Pawlowski) came to Brandon’s friends’ home saying the “Holy Spirit” told her that her kids were there. The Ewells told GPD Melani threatened them saying if they knew what was good for them, they would tell her where her kids were.
The Ewells say Melani got into her Kia and a bald, white man was in the driver seat. Melani allegedly identified the man as her friend. They drove away but came back several minutes later. Melani allegedly got out & stood next to the car staring at the Ewell residence.
About a week later, Melani was arrested in Utah for criminal trespassing on the property of Brandon Boudreaux’s parents who were watching their kids.

In a text message sent to Alex Cox from Zulema Pastenes on 9-2-2019 when in a conversation about Tylee Ryan being dark, Zulema said "I think you guys will be led to deal with the dark one when it`s time." Tylee is believed to have been killed a few days later. You can read the message exchange below. All of this comes from a newly released Gilbert Arizona Police Report.

I remember having a really, really hard time when I realized Alex had been in the thick of murdering Tylee and JJ. Now this. I wonder if this is what prompted Zulema getting immunity. She knew good and well what was going on and married him. I just can't.

Interesting. Boudreaux told GPD he believes Melani blocked his phone from getting communications from Charles Vallow. Few months after JJ Vallow & Tylee Ryan were found dead, BB found 24 unread texts from CV between 01/2019-07/2019 in a blocked folder.

Just logged on to read all this. I always believed Zulema and Melanie and the other Melani were really deep into their crazy belief systems and murdering for money or beliefs was no big deal to any of them, even when it came to little children.

Gilbert Police: Between 10/2018-10/2019 -- Alex Cox, Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell identified Brandon Boudreaux as a "dark' soul. Lori extensively communicated with Melani Boudreaux which led to separation and divorce. Cox, Vallow and Daybell prepared for Brandon's murder in late September 2019 - tinting the Jeep Wrangler's window, removing the backseat and the back wheel.
On 9/30/19, Cox drove the Jeep from Rexburg, ID to Gilbert, AZ - arriving on 10/1. The next day he drove to Brandon's rental home address and waited for nearly two hours, parked outside. As Brandon arrived back to the home, driving towards the driveway, Cox opened fire through the back window and hit the front driver's side A-pillar before driving away.

DET. PILLAR'S NARRATIVE: Gilbert PD Detective Ryan Pillar is the lead investigator into Brandon Boudreaux's case. He worked directly with authorities in Idaho to look into the disappearance of JJ Vallow and Tylee Ryan as well as the sudden death of Tammy Daybell. He was actually the one to speak on the phone with a Fremont County dispatcher about Tammy's death and the Daybell family's wish to not have an autopsy done.
Here is the narrative and summary of the attempted murder of Brandon Boudreaux. I've highlighted important pieces but portions of this report are redacted. What stands out:
- GPD found out about Chad Daybell and Alex Cox's "throwaway phones" or burners.
- On 9/17/19 - Melani asked Brandon for his new home address. Brandon told police she was one of four people to know that information. His new lease began on 9/23/19.
- Days prior, some redacted info on Melanie Gibb seeing JJ Vallow for the last time in Lori Vallow's Rexburg apartment.
- On 9/25/19, Alex Cox takes the Jeep Wrangler registered to Charles Vallow but previously driven by Tylee Ryan and brings it to Dan's Window Tinting in Rexburg. He has the front windows tinted to 20 percent and the rear windows tinted to five percent. This means the back windows let about five percent of light pass through.
- Melani flies from Mesa, AZ to Idaho Falls, ID via Allegiant Airlines on 9/26/19. Meanwhile Alex activates the burner phone.
- On 9/28/19, Alex is located at the gun range and signs the log at United Sportsmens' Gun Club.
- On 9/29/19 Melanie returns to Mesa, AZ.
- 9/30/19 marks the beginning of Alex's road trip in the Jeep Wrangler from Idaho to Arizona. His burner phone calls Chad's burner phone and receives a call from Chad's phone about 21 hours before the attempted murder of Brandon Boudreaux.
- 10/1/19 is the day Lori Vallow rented the storage unit at Self Storage Plus. We've seen the multiple surveillance videos.
- 10/2/19 marks the date of the shooting in Gilbert. Alex's burner phone and Chad's burner phone make contact multiple times. Brandon witnesses the muzzle of a firearm pointed towards his Tesla moments before a shot is fired.
- After his car is hit, Brandon drives off and the Jeep follows him briefly before turning out of the neighborhood.
- From 0919 to 0925 hours, Alex's phone makes two calls to Chad's phone. The throwaway phones also communicate one last time Alex drives near Green River, Utah.
- Between 1325 and 1332 hours that day, Chad and Lori are seen on surveillance bringing in a tire, and single vehicle wheel into storage. Her gmail account searches for keywords like "man shot in gilbert az" and "ave news brandon budreaux."
- Post attempted homicide, Lori and Alex are seen at Self Storage Plus on video removing the single vehicle wheel, tire and what appears to be a backseat.
- On 10/3/19 police interview Melani who denies any knowledge of the shooting and could not explain the details of that day. She confirmed relationships with Alex and Lori but denied being close. She also did not want to share their phone numbers.
- Pillar says in the following weeks after the shooting, Melani moves to Rexburg to live in the same apartment complex as her aunt Lori and uncle Alex. Additional homicides were discovered (Tammy Daybell, Charles Vallow). Melani married Ian Pawlowski, Alex married Zulema Pastenes, and Chad married Lori. Tammy's body would be exhumed and Alex died of natural causes. Months later, Lori and Chad were arrested and the remains of JJ and Tylee were discovered. Biological evidence found in the recovered Jeep Wrangler confirmed Alex was inside and gunshot residue was found by the back window.

It is one thing for everyone to discuss the possible happenings and put together possibilities….but to hear police reports and read documents….it really hits just how evil these people are. I do hope LV and CD have more charges coming.
IMO CD adult-ten are so lucky to be alive….a matter of time and one of them would be dark…imo. I wish they could realize how evil their dad is.

Wow. That is interesting. There should be some sort of national database for life insurance policies. I wonder if BB had life insurance? Or if he even knew?
