BOUDREAUX CUSTODY BATTLE: The court filings continue in the child custody battle between Brandon Boudreaux and Melani Pawlowski. Much of the same things have been repeated despite some newer details.

Page 1 is an excerpt from Pawlowski’s filing, accusing Boudreaux of making false statements to the court. She adds quotes she claims to have said to her ex-husband and continues to say he had withheld their four kids from her. Pawlowski also refers to the 911 call Boudreaux made on 10/2/19 after claiming to be shot at. She says he is quoted not knowing who was the shooter. It’s important to note some of the call is redacted.

Page 2 and 3 here are excerpts from Boudreaux’s response. He says Pawlowski had given his son a GPS tracking watch and would have know when he left his home on the day of the alleged shooting. Boudraux had dropped his older kids off at school and exchanged the younger kids with Pawlowski. Boudreaux also says there are other witnesses who place a Jeep at the scene, registered to Charles Vallow. Boudreaux says he had just moved into the rental home days earlier and gave his ex the address. Once again, court documents show Boudreaux believes Alex Cox (Pawlowski’s uncle) was the shooter.

Another new detail, Boudreaux says Melanie Gibb could testify in this case to prove Pawlowski was in a doomsday cult. Gibb was a friend of Pawlowski’s aunt Lori Vallow, did podcasts with her and according to Rexburg Police, told detectives Lori and Chad Daybell asked her to lie about the whereabouts of JJ Vallow and Tylee Ryan after they went missing.

PROSECUTION’S REQUEST: Madison Co. Prosecuting Attorney Rob Wood makes request for discovery. He asks for all books, papers, docs & photos in control of Lori Vallow, if defense intends to use as evidence in trial. Also asks for physical/mental exam results in control of defendant, which she would introduce as evidence or prepared by a witness who defense could call to the stand. Wood wants list of names of witnesses defense intends to bring into trial. Vallow has 14 days to notify the state if the issue of a mental condition will be raised. If so, information and contacts of expert witnesses regarding such evidence must be provided. Request for discovery officially sent to Vallow’s attorney Mark Means.

BODY CAM: This is the last 11 minutes of Charles Vallow’s meeting with Gilbert Police. At this point his belongings have been moved out of his home. He had to kick in the door in the garage to get in and alongside him is his friend Gabe Bonilla. Charles asks officers what he can do as his truck is also gone.

JJ Vallow turns 8 Monday. A vigil is planned and police are asking for help in finding him and his sister. | East Idaho News

REXBURG — A candlelight vigil is being held for Joshua “JJ” Vallow on Monday to commemorate his 8th birthday and raise awareness that the boy and sister, Tylee Ryan, are still missing.

The vigil begins at 9 p.m. at Kennedy Elementary School in Rexburg, the last place JJ was seen before his mother, Lori Vallow Daybell, withdrew him in September.

After lighting candles, a moment of silence was held before the group sang “Happy Birthday” to JJ. Jeanine Hansen, a Rexburg resident who has been following the case, read the following statement from Kay and Larry Woodcock, JJ’s grandparents.

As you know, today is our beloved grandson, JJ’s, 8th birthday. His absence is sorely felt by his brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, Larry, me and the world. We were blessed with this special young man’s eight short years ago. He has been a bright light and joy in our lives. The hope of seeing his sweet, smiling face again is what gets us out of bed everyday.


Tylee, with her beautiful smile and endearing sisterly ways, is our biggest hope they are being properly cared for.

Lori and Chad, YOU can speak out to end this agony. We pray you feel the humanity and compassion God has instilled within you to bring this nightmare to a close. It is the Christian thing to do.

The Rexburg area has encompassed us with love and warmth. We now feel this is our second home just as Facebook has been instrumental in communicating our story to the world. Thank you to every person who has shared, copied, pasted pictures and stories in whatever way you have helped to keep this story in the forefront. It’s a worldwide effort to bring these two kids home.
