Molina has been vacated....again! Rescheduled for trial October 4, 2021 at 8:30 am.

Dunlap still shows a status conference for May 3, 2021 for 10:15 am. But I am sure another one will be set after Molina's trial per the pattern that has been shown so far.

Strange and so drawn out. The court activated jury trials again at the beginning of March. The lawyers have had plenty of time to prepare in my opinion since jury trials have been on hold due to Covid for at least a year.

Nope....trial starts Oct 4 per the Idaho Court records. KMVT's headline correctly states Oct 4, but in the body of the article, the date of Oct 13 is an error.

*Status Conference Hearing (@ 10:15am MT) – ID – Lyryk Altom (20 mos.) (Oct. 8, 2017, Twin Falls-taken to hospital & died Oct. 14, 2017) – for *Amanda Jean Dunlap (23/now 26) “mom” arrested (Oct/2017) & arraigned (7/23/18) with 1 count of 1st degree murder, 8 counts of felony injury to a child & 1 count of misdemeanor injury to a child. Plead not guilty.

5/11/20 Update: Next status hearing on 8/3/20. 8/3/20 Update: Defendant not present. Defense attorney’s ask for continuance. Status hearing was rescheduled to 12/7/20.
12/7/20 Update: Order for continuance of status hearing. Next Status conference hearing on 1/25/21. 1/25/21 Update: Order to continue hearing to 5/3/21.
*Joshua Eric Molina (33/now 35) – Trial began on 2/25/20 & ended 3/8/20 with Molina guilty on one count of felony injury to a child, another count was changed to a misdemeanor, and Molina was also found guilty of that. The jury was unable to reach a verdict on the two other charges of felony injury to a child, as well as the first degree murder charge. Twin Falls County prosecutor Grant Loebs will decide whether or not to bring in another jury in hopes of reaching a verdict on the remaining charges. There is no word yet when sentencing will be. Status conference hearing on 4/24/20. Defense files motion & order to release jury contact info. 4/24/20 Update: Will be retried for hung jury verdict on charges (1st degree murder & 2 counts of felony injury to a child). Due to the coronavirus the status hearing on 4/24 has been rescheduled on 5/6/20. 5/6/20 Update: Status hearing was cancelled due to coronavirus. Next hearing on 5/20/20. 5/20/20 Update: Next pretrial hearing on 10/5/20. Trial set to begin on 10/13/20. Re-Trial was cancelled due to COVID and rescheduled on 10/4/21.

Dunlap is once again vacated. No new date set at this time, but it won't be until Molina's trial. There has not been any activity on Molina since his trial was reset for October 4, 2021.
