Deceased/Not Found IL - Denita Hedden, 37, Macoupin County, 25 Jan 2018 *Reward*

I wonder what came of the potential evidence found in June at the lake? If she was last seen at the casino I’m sure they have reviewed cameras to see if she was followed? What is her typical route home? Could she have been in a car accident? Did she win money that night? Drinking? With anyone? I just skimmed through the last page here, so maybe these questions have been answered?! I feel sad for her children and family. Sending prayers they find answers soon.

Potential evidence and last seen referenced here:
Potential evidence in Hedden case found by fishermen in Macoupin County
This is a homicide. From the earliest news stories they had the Greater St. Louis Major Case team working it saying it was foul play. The guy she was living with, whose story changed more than once, who has more than 110 case filings in his criminal history is where the focus is. His most recent charge was aggravated vehicular assault related to an accident where he was alleged driving drunk and both him and Denita were ejected from the vehicle. It is likely she would be compelled to testify against him and it almost certainly has a lot to do with this since he was facing 2 to 12 years.

The remains of the 37-year old mother of four from Macoupin County have not been found and there has been no arrests since she went missing on her birthday, January 25, 2018.

"Actually doesn't seem like a year to be honest with you," her brother Raymond Dyer said. "It's been so hectic trying to get answers for this case and nothing's come about."

Hello. I appreciate all of you keeping Dee in the light. I'm a close friend of family. And working with her Brother directly. I can answer some questions that any of you may have. Of what we know so far.

If your from Gillespie you probably know my family. We moved over there in '95 from Jerseyville. My son is friends with her step son Mikey.

It's hard to believe that Denita has yet to be found. Where are you Denita?

My heart goes out to the husband/family, but LE probably doesn't even have the answers to some of his questions (such as where she is or what exactly happened to her)

Considering that the person law enforcement won't name was a person that actually had been elected to county office (and subsequently removed from office by state legal action since he was a felon and as such wasn't eligible to stand for election) he most likely knows people in the political machinery of the county this case is going to require intervention from the state or federal level to come in and take the case over. My guess is he can cause other people to lose their elected or appointed positions and/or end up in jail for crimes unrelated to Denita's disappearance. Absent that outside intervention I don't see how this case moves forward.

Are you talking the guy in RL where she stayed and brought his truck back night she went missing??
Because I thought he was POI and has quite the rap sheet (like 3 pages)

Yes I am - he is the POI. He was elected to a county office and had to be removed by the Attorney General of Illinois a few years back - you can find an article about that. So, I suspect he is connected to elected officials or former officials and probably knows a thing or three that those people would rather not see come to light. Consequently, I think county law enforcement is not motivated to resolve this case and it will take outside, i.e., state law enforcement to move this case forward.
