The Peoria County Sheriff's Office says the body of a woman has been recovered from the Illinois River south of Bartonville, and the coroner’s office is seeking help identifying her.

"A woman's body was recovered from the Illinois River on Friday, May 24, and the Peoria County Sheriff's Department and Peoria County Coroner are seeking help investigating the case.

The coroner released a description of the woman on Friday as a white female, aged 18 to 30, 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 160 pounds, with a tattoo on her right forearm written "INTEGRITY" and indications of orthopedic surgery on her left upper arm, with evidence of plates and screws in that arm.

The woman’s identity and manner of death is still under investigation. Anyone with information that could help identify the woman or assist the investigation is asked to contact the coroner’s office at 309-265-2004, or the sheriff's office at 309-216-4775."

(Peoria County, IL) Friday, May 24th, 2024, at approximately 01:45 p.m., the Peoria County Sheriff's Office responded to Mosiac Fertilizer in the 8700 block of Cargill Rd. An employee found a female body floating in the river about 20 feet from the shore. It appears the female has been in the river for at least 24 hours. The identity and manner of death is still under investigation. Please contact Detective Demery at 309-216-4775 if you have any information that could help us identify the female or any other information that could be helpful. Individuals can also submit a tip through CrimeStoppers or our Sheriff's App.

I also saw in one of the links that she could also be 200 lbs so a weight range from 160-200 lbs.

Looks like she was found right about here. I'm not too familiar with the area but I do know there are a handful of colleges in Peoria, so she could have been a student at one.
