Did anyone read anything about a wood deer stand on the cemetery side? During that aerial video from WRTV the police copter hovers above this area and the tv station drone/chopper zooms in and tries to focus on something in the trees. It's between 17:00 and 18:00 minutes roughly....I can't figure out what it is.....it appears to go up a tree though....

Yes, I know, sorry I should have been more specific at what I was getting at. (I feel so bad for all of you who have to read my posts because they are always come across as a confusing word salad brain dump that is rushed because I have a subpar phone and an even slower computer. ) I just meant that there is evidence of other mentions of scary encounters with other men there recently, and maybe Libby and Abby also did too. Maybe not even from that same day, perhaps they recognized BG from previous time(s)..."Oh no, look, here comes that weirdo guy again we saw last ___, that did ____ last time" or something to that effect.... I just hope every local who has ever ever ever had any kind of uncomfortable/unnerving/scary encounter in that town has come forward to bring up their experiences. They may not even think its related to the case, especially if it was not even recently, it may be because "their creep" didnt look enough like the grainy BG photo guy.. The photo of BG is so poor quality they may not even realize its the same guy... Ok I am babbling now... Hitting send now so this might appear in the next hour or so lol

Are the other "scary encounters" you referring to the flashers on the Indianapolis, Indiana Monon trail? If you are... they aren't the same trails. Sorry if I only just added confusion.

Its from an interview of one of the news stations, interviewing a local dad, who stated his daughter uses the trails and has had encounters with scary creeps. I hope someone can dig up the link to go with this interview, i have a bad phone and comp AND connection issues right now so its extremely hard for me to search for stuff let alone play videos at the moment.

IIRC, it was a father who mentioned his daughter had seen some strange men in the area of the trail. Sorry, but I don't even remember if it was an article or an interview. moo

So I Know the cellphone issue has been discussed already but, if the phones either " died or powered off" would that maybe lean more towards no one has the phones? When I read the gramps's statement about the pings and phone dying it's what I gather. All IMO always. If no phone was found would you think possible trophy for BG ( I know that's sad but some I've read keep those things) or it's still out there in the woods etc. If LE has it would it have been charged? And if so would these comments still be suggested? I just want outside input. Bc I have no clue.

My guess would be that he tried to destroy and dumped the phone if the killer took it, so it may have been recovered in the creek or surrounding area or even a dumpster somewhere. If Libby still had it in her pocket and he didn't realize it, then investigators found it. I suspect the killer dumped it somewhere but really have no idea.

The only thing I am sure of is two girls were murdered before they could really live, and just how much I don't know about every facet of this case.

JMO-
1.It appears to me that the crime scene is visable when walking on the north end of the bridge.
2. I think the subject parked on the east side on the other bridge on the side of 300. There is a turn out there where a vehicle could very hidden - and the route goes straight east then south out to Indianapolis and hundreds of small towns.
3. I don't think he parked at the cemetery because it's active, pleoemcomeing with flowers a risk. There were at least 4 burials in 2016, he may even have attended a recent funeral and noticed the surroundings - making a plan.

I go back and forth with that. Some of the things I have become aware of while keeping track of this case(such as the level of concentration of the meth scourge in the mid-west, for instance) have reminded me of how "out-gunned" LE became during the prohibition era. On one hand, as I have stated, I hope either RL or some other local was involved, and that they were sloppy and LE has a ton of evidence and are simply waiting on a little more to come in before making their move. On the other hand, I worry that it's something else, and that there may be a criminal subculture right now that is able to stay out of LE's grasp, due to their level of criminality and sheer silence. This has always been the case, to some extent, and fortunately, even these types eventially get caught for something, just not always for everything they are guilty of, IYKWIM. Maybe it's my background, or maybe I've watched too much TV? I just know that in similar cases, the perpetrator is either extremely easy to catch, or they are extremely difficult to catch. Trying to remain patient until at least the 6 week mark(after the 3/17 SW).

I know you're not slamming LE but it seems some are due to their lack of disclosure or arrest. I keep hoping every day we will hear they've arrested someone but it's going to take as long as it takes to put a tight case together. The lack of urgency in seeking information makes me very hopeful they're close.

I'm not sure it's been proven that both girls were 70plus feet away. While I agree from gray Hughes videos that he has bg placed in the right location. I'm not convinced that he has proven where one or both of the girls were and the distance between them. Another one of those things that keeps getting stated as fact, when LE hasn't said one way or the other. JMO and sorry to jump off your post Elley

ab01, I hope you don't mind me using your post as a spring board for an experiment that tried earlier today because it ties in with your post as your post speaks of some questions that still linger in my mind as to placement of the girls.

Websight, the Not-So-Magnificent's Video Experiment - Part One

I wanted to try to video and then take stills from that 60-80 foot mark. I asked my trusty assistants (my teen daughters) to help me recreate what it would look like if someone was filmed on a phone from the above distance. I chose 70 feet as the median and asked my daughter to walk to the 60 foot mark. For this first part of the experiment I did not zoom during the filming (I would zoom after the still was taken). Below is what 60 feet looks like when I took a still from the video:

Now mind you, she would appear closer than that but I kept checking while filming and it isn't that skewed in terms of distance. I wanted to see if I could figure out how far away BG actually was for Libby and LE to have gotten those pictures.

Next I wanted to try to take the still and zoom in and enhance to see if I could make out the features of my daughter:

Well, as you can see, I have a pixelated mess zooming in and enhancing the photo after filming without the zoom on.

So far it seems that the video either might not have been taken from the 60 feet unzoomed or might not have been taken from that great a distance at all.

Please note that I am not in the least bit interested in proving much greater minds than mine wrong. I am just the gal who discovered she likes fiddling with pictures and I use that fiddling to answer my own questions. I may be totally wrong and I am happy if someone with more experience can show me my errors and I can go back to the drawing board and improve. I hope that you don't mind my sharing these. I don't mind if you poke holes! oke:

I'm not sure if they make them anymore but I used wear windbreakers like that when I was a kid....All it had was snaps and the top part of the snap would be black...so it kind of blended in with the jacket if it was a dark color..... I usually bought mine at Farm and Fleet.

Something that has been bothering me for weeks is the seam or snap in BG's jacket in both pictures. I have looked at hundreds of jacket images and cannot figure out this detail. There is no visible zipper or snap tops but that pinch is clearly there. This appears to be an older windbreaker perhaps purchased at a thrift store.

This is my first post on this case, I've been watching the vids and reading the comments although I am 100% certain I couldn't have read all the posts but after reading the ones I could I have a theory that I haven't seen yet. Please let me know if it's been thrown out there.

BG parks at the cemetery, hikes to the SE side of the bridge, encounters the girls on the trail just past the bridge, maybe says something maybe not, he continues onto the bridge and sees there's nobody around so he turns around, meanwhile Libby is recording him, either from before he turns or after he turns, he walks to the end of the bridge, threatens the girls and tells them to "go down the hill". Libby puts phone in her pocket but it's still recording video which in turn records audio, the go across the creek to the spot where they were found, he commits his crimes and heads back to cemetery and drives off.

IMO, it's a toggle-type closure, made with cloth instead of cord. It wraps around a snap-type button, like on jeans. And it has an inner zipper.

To me, it looks like snap enclosures. And I think the white squiggle some have guessed was a rope is actually the inner lining showing. I see a couple places lower in the jacket, in some of the pics, that seem to reveal a white colored inner lining as well.

I also think he has something stuffed in his coat as well. Clothes? Weapons? What could it be?

I kind of wonder why they didn't call a parent or family member? Obviously I have no idea what situation they were in, but it reminds me of the movie taken.. when she shouts out all the features of the man before shes kidnapped, to help identify him. Maybe they thought he was no real threat? It really makes me wonder My friend and I used to hike and walk through the woods as kids, this is really heart breaking.

I am from Indiana and spent a lot of time at parks and the various nature preserves growing up. I am too afraid to go to these places until this monster is caught.
